CHANNEL ISLANDS NATIONAL PARK

Channel Islands National Park is a chain of eight islands off the Southern California coast. Over 2000 species of plants and animals are found in this 249,354 square acre park; half of which are under water. Designated a National Monument in 1938 and a National Park in March 1980. You'll see some of the park's plants, scenery, and underwater "life" in this slideshow.
