| Fiction: Short Stories, prose poetry and poetry can take on genres such as horror, satire, magical realism, humour, taboo, fantasy, science fiction, surrealism etc. However, we are really after anything that strikes a chord. All poetry can be in any style or metre. Short stories: 500-3000 words Prose poetry: 500-700 words Poetry: 5-50 lines Non-Fiction: All non-fiction can be on any subject, as long as it shocks, surprises and informs the reader. You could interview a person with an eccentric phobia or occupation, profile a mythical creature or religion, or write about a sport or holiday destination that isn�t for the faint hearted, and so forth. 500-3000 words Reviews: Give your opinion and analyse a book, play, movie, board game, kitchen utensil or a toy, etc� as long as it is unique or unusual. 100-300 words Art, Illustrations and Photography: We are interested in art that evokes a mood. Submissions may be abstract, surreal, expressionist, etc. We also accept comic strips. Send as many submissions as desired, there is no limit. Copyright remains with the originators of the creative material. If you are not sure whether your contribution is suitable for the magazine, email the editors with a brief summary of your work and we will reply with feedback. Send all work to the editors at: [email protected] Articles and fiction pieces are to be submitted electronically, preferably in MS Word or RTF format. We do not accept hard copy. Artwork must be scanned and saved at 300 dpi, as a JPEG, GIF or BMP, and emailed to us as an attachment. |
