I graduated in January of 1960 from FSU with a BS in Ed. (I was anxious to get into the working world.) Thus the beginning of my teaching career, which lasted until June of 2002. I spent my first full year of teaching in New Jersey and after one winter of snow, returned to Pompano and got reacquainted with Denny McNab at his fathers Texaco Station. We were married in August of 1962 and have two children, Pam and Jim.

Pam graduated from Furman University and went on to get her PhD in Latin American Literature from the University of VA. (Wish I had learned more Spanish in high school!) She and her husband live in Fredericksburg, VA where she is teaching. Our son Jim graduated from FAU with a degree in English and he is teaching in a middle school in Asheville, NC. He and his wife Gretchen have a son, James, our only grandchild, who is seven and the apple of grandmas eye.

In 1972, I graduated from FAU with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Ed and began my teaching career at Pine Crest School in Ft. Lauderdale. It took me 24 years to finally be promoted and get out of second grade! Pine Crest School runs summer camp programs and I ran the computer camp there for several years before I became the Computer Curriculum Coordinator for the Lower School. My last six years at Pine Crest were spent in the technology field working with teachers and students. For about eight years, I attended a technology conference in Minneapolis and during one of the trips I decided to give Bruce Mulvaney a call and we met for lunch. Never can tell who will turn up from your past!

Once I retired, we planned to spend about five months at our apartment in Sky Valley, GA, where we have owned since 1982. I thought retirement was suppose to be a lot of fun, but my job title changed to medical advocate and caregiver for the love of my life. Denny had three major surgeries in less than a year, two in Cleveland, Ohio at the Cleveland Clinic, two heart attacks within four months, and open-heart surgery in Asheville, NC. He had the surgery in Asheville, because we were at our apartment in Sky Valley, GA. We had only been up there for three weeks when he had the second heart attack. Can you believe he had me go on Web MD to prove to him he was having a heart attack?

We are playing catch up on traveling and will be leaving on Tuesday, March 28, for a trip to New Zealand and Australia. We return on April 18 and I will be focusing on our 50th reunion, which is being held at our home on April 28. Cant wait to see everyone.
