Once in a While Once in a while a song comes on that touches your soul to the core Once in a while a book is found that leaves you wanting much more Once in a while a person finds you and the reason is never known But you know when you feel them; your heart has surely come home Once in a while the sun shines just right and you see a face in the clouds Once in a while you see a smile thats so bright it stands out in a crowd Once in a while your heart is touched and you will never be the same And when they are gone, the pain is most real. In that, there is no shame.
Its dark, its light then its dark once again but our lives will carry on To have the love means to feel the pain sometimes long after theyre gone. So what do we do? Do we take that chance and hope that love will stay? Or do we close ourselves off and refuse to feel? Is that the only way?
Once in a while love comes along that is true and strong and real Once in a while that love stays around and makes us glad we feel. Once in a while we do find the one that proves that love is sure When it does come around, its worth the pain, from all the ones before. I did find that love once or twice in my life, a sunshine through the rain It warmed my soul; it made me smile and prepared me for the pain If to have the love, there must also be pain, I would have to try once more Because the love, for when it was there, brought far less pain than joy. |

A Catch in my Breath Could you feel me as I was watching you from across the room? Did you know that my eyes were mesmerized by your movements, as if under a dark spell? Sometimes I feel you watching me too. Did your body tingle as my eyes drank you in?
You werent doing anything special, casually leaning against the doorframe, and then you stood. Your movement caught my eye. I looked up and the vision of you surrounded me, causing a catch in my breath and all I could do was drink you in. The way you stood so straight, as if you were posing for a painting, just for me. I was hypnotized. Your hair hung down your back in soft waves of brown with streaks of silver blonde giving it life, screaming for my hands to entangle within the silken mass. Your eyes glowed with mischief as if you knew I was enchanted by your presence.
Then you smiled; your lips full and soft and I was overtaken by the memory of those same lips against my neck, moving lower, teasing, tasting my skin, making me writhe under you as you fulfilled all my desires.
You turned your head to attentively listen to another and my eyes were drawn to your jaw line, the memory of my fingertips tracing it as I lay beside you sated from your attention to my body, to my mind. My breathing quick and rapid, my eyes follow your jaw line to the curve of your neck where my lips often strayed to nibble and kiss. Then further down as your shirt opened to reveal an expanse of pale perfect chest, my hands balled into fists as they remember trailing over the muscles, following every curve, every hollow.
My eyes close as my breathing speeds up, visions of you dancing through my mind. Do you remember? Do those same memories haunt you as they do me? I have seen your eyes follow me in that same way. Does that mean there is still hope? that all is not lost for us??
I open my eyes to gaze at you once more and you are gone. For now I am resigned to memories but one day... |

100 Word Drabble on Lust A quick intake of breath, a soft unspoken sigh An uncertain look, a shy comforting smile A warm hug, a comforting kiss, warmth to my toes A tentative touch as the burning need grows Warmth of your skin as my hands memorize each line The touch of my lips brings a chill down your spine The meeting of eyes when you feel touch to your skin A hard won control now broken and thin A shiver, a moan as your lips find my vein My blood, my lust, an unbroken chain |
