1.08.03 Yes, polystigma is over, Around a month before before our 5th year anniversary. Jaime no longer has the desire or determination to keep the band going so its all come to an end. *** I'd just like to say it was an honour playing in Polystigma for the last 5 years, it was my first band but definitely wont be my last. Polystigma has opened many doors for us and we've had the priveledge of taking part in things we'd only ever have dreamed possible. Im sure if you read our bio (which I will update as soon as I find the time) you will see all the fantastic things we've take part in. Id very much like to thank all the people who have been members of Polystigma throughout the years - Maryanne, Kirsten, Wayne, Jaime and Clint. This wouldnt have happened without them. Managing Polystigma is something Im very proud of, I only wish Id had the time to take it as far as I had planned too... but all good things come to an end. And polystigma, like something good, has. hahah. Lastly, Id like to thank you. Thankyou to all the people who along the way have offered words of enthusiasm and support; stuck by us when things were quiet; offered us numerous opportunities just because you wanted to and most importantly have been our friends. I only hope you can realise how much you have genuinely impacted on this entire experience and on my heart. *tear to the eye* Thankyou for being such a large part of why I love music. Thankyou for being a motivation and an inspiration. *** This isnt the last you'll see of us. Two new potential band are in the works... Clint and I will be jamming with pete and jono from the band Domestic Clone Unit in the near future... 25.03.03Polystigma will be going on hiatus for a little while. All gigs will be cancelled. We're all still friends and the band is not broken up, there have been no arguments of any kind, the reason for the hiatus is personal issues which have nothing to do with the band. We will be back as soon as possible with more gigs and new songs. We're all dissapointed but unfortunately sometimes "life" happens, and important things have to be put on hold so that even more important things can be sorted out. We cant go into more detail right now but we're thankful for your support and look forward to coming back two times as good as before and very soon. In the meantime, get the word out about us, and keep coming back for updates and general forum chatter!!
22.03.03 If you havent seen it already, make sure you keep an eye out for the Ben Lee film clip, we're in it for much of the time. Our first EP Launch is at Kelts Bar, Blaxland on the 5th of April with Forte and Vanity Star - if you enjoyed our last gig at the Bull n Bush you'll love this one ten times as much, we'll also be playing our newest song "The Fetch" for the first time! We may have 2 or 3 festivals to play on the 12th and 13th of April - HYPE FESTIVAL (12th April at Balcome Heights Estate, Jasper Road Baulkham Hills, All Age, Free Entry, we're on at 11:40am) and FAIRFIELD YOUTH FESTIVAL (13th April at Fairfield Showground, All Age, Free Entry) are confirmed, we'll know about PRESHOCKED FESTIVAL (12th April, Chatswood with Skulker and Bodyjar) on the 4th of April.
27.02.03 On Friday we should be playing a live set on SWR FM 99.9 at around 5pm, but this is unconfirmed, Ill let you know on the message board! On Saturday we have been asked to play Ben Lee's back up band in his next film clip, we get to dress up!! On Sunday we are in the heats for HYPE FESTIVAL, which is also a band comp. The heats are held at Glenhaven Community Centre (Baulkham Hills way) we're on at 7:30pm. On Monday Jaime and Kimb are going to see The Breeders thanks to Ron! On the 13th of March we are playing our first real show with Clint at The Bull N Bush Hotel, Baulkham Hills supported by Vanity Star. Things are getting hectic, but thats the way we like it. We should be in the next Revolver "Quadbox".

    15.01.03 We are picking up our copies of THE SELF SERVE EP tomorrow and they will be on sale as of the 20th of January!!     15.12.02 Its almost 2003 and that means ths start of a lot of things for us - Our new drummer and great buddy Clinton will be joining us as a permanent member; Our EP will finally be released; we will be travelling to Melbourne, Canberra, Newcastle, Brisbane and anywhere else to promote it AND we will have a new bunch of songs / merchandise / photos / MP3s... whatever. 2002 has been a great year, we played Grounded Festival once again with Frenzal Rhomb, Area 7 and a bunch of other great local and interstate bands and we were also main support for Cog, Antiskeptic and Preshrunk. We'd like to thank everyone for their support and hope you will join us again in 2003! MERRY XMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
    04.12.02Our final show for the year is Friday 13th December headlining at Club 77 with Qabbala, Tantrum, & Grise.This is our final show with Wayne, our new drummer may join us onstage for a few songs, and if the EP is ready in time we will be selling it here for the first time at a discounted price, would be great to have you all there to celebrate the end of the year with us!
    22.11.02 The recording is all done and within the next few weeks we will have a stack of copies to sell and a give away to some of our street team. Last night we supported Antiskeptic who are such an impressive band, awesome awesome. Our drummer will be revealed within the week along with new photos.     30.10.02 The EP should be finished tomorrow on Halloween!! More HUGE news is that we FINALLY have a permanent drummer, he/she will be revealed here very soon so stay tuned! We are supporting Antiskeptic at Kelts Bar on the 21st of November so come along. Our EP launch is not yet confirmed but will be shortly.
    03.10.02 The EP is nearing completion, only vocals to go. Our old MP3s have been in the top 10 or so for almost a year now, which is unusual, why do you listen to that stuff? Thanks though. People seem to be coming around to the idea of WWW.POLYSTIGMA.COM which is cool. We are organising our EP launch dates now so stay tuned for those and give us your input on the message board. We celebrated our 4 year anniversary in August, I'd like to thank you guys for your support.
    25.09.02 "POLYSTIGMA.COM" is now up and running thanks to Lyndon James at ljnetwork.com, visit him for all your website needs. Our EP is close to completion, only vocals and finishing touches left to go, may I say it is sounding PHAT and we will have an EP launch sometime probably in November.
    08.09.02 As well as our gig at Gravity Nightclub, Hotel Parramatta, this Saturday with Heifer and Speedball, we are recording on Sunday. The five songs are Self Serve, Daily Juice, Midst of A Spin, Such A Mouth and a new and never before heard song called Dead Air.     09.08.02Our gig at the Tall Timbers Hotel at Ourimbah was a huge success, we played one of the best shows we've played in a while and Bubble and Inch were awesome to watch. A great night had by all.
    25.07.02At the end of our trial period with Ed on drums we've all decided not to stick together, Ed's awesome but not quite what we need and vice versa. We'll keep jamming with our dude Wayne (from Mode 9) until we meet that special someone - email us if its you!!!
