In the first annual FFL superbowl, the reds beat the blues 8-7.
"We played a good game," captain and QB Robbie said.  "I'm proud of my team, I am."
On a day where the weather was dry and dusty, the two teams put up big battles, stopping occasionally for the very necessary water break.
"Did you see the dust winds out there," reds offensive end Luke said.  "It was like the Texas Tornado.  All dancy and wavy, and in your face."
The reds jumped out to a quick lead, thanks to a couple of QB touchdown runs by Robbie, and a Jordan T. touchdown.
The bluesfought back to within one point twice, thanks to great performances by Jacob and Patrick, both of whom having solid touchdown days.
Unfortunately for Patrick, he developed an injury on a lateral to Matt P, essentially hindering QB Jordan's options on the receiving end.
"I only had Jacob to throw to," Jordan said.  "The others just weren't up to the task of replacing Pat.."
The reds took advantage of the injury, and fought forward, scoring on a couple of fantastic individual efforts by Jordan T.
Jordan T. was named MVP of the game, finishing with 3 touchdowns, 3 interceptions and 1 kickoff touchdown.
"I'm happy with the win," he said.  "If I win an award, it's coo' beans.  But individual awards mean nothing if your team doesn't win."
QB Robbie, who had 3 rushing TDs and Jacob, who had 2 receiving TDs and 1 kickoff TD, were the MVP runners up.
"It's good times," Thomas said.
Added Peter B:
"It's borderline gangster, it is."

Bogus moment - Dylan acting out some kind of a play, or at least I hope he was.  For some reason, Dylan could not understand the concept of "come back over the line, your offside."  Instead, he ended up taking a snap for the opposing team.

Offensive P.O.G - Robbie - Incredibly mobile out of the pocket.
Defensive P.O.G - Jordan T. - 3 interceptions, numerous breakups.
Spec Teams P.O.G - Jacob - Kept firing his way up the field.

Ratings
Robbie - 9.5; Excellent offensive awareness and mobility.  Threw no interceptions.
Patrick - 8; Early on, he was dynamic.  After his injury, he kept on fighting.
Taylor - 7; Didn't do anything wrong, but didn't do all that much right either.
Thomas - 7; Picked it up after an awful previous game.
Matthew S.- 8.5; Excellent secondary option for Robbie.
Neil - 7; Wanted the ball often, but he almost never got it.  Good special teams.
Jordan D. - 6; Struggled, throwing 4 interceptions and only 5 TDs.
Luke - 7.5; Powerful play on the offensive end.  Pressured the QB all day long.
Peter - 7.5; Struggled after picking up an early thigh injury, but still dynamic at times.
Cole - 6; Had 2 catches on the day, but looked a bit tentative in the big game.
Jacob - 8.5; Picked his game up after mental lapses.  Good receptions down the stretch.
Dylan - 8; Unusual game for him, as his defence was aces and offensive was garbage.
Matt P. - 8; He knows his role is to cause pain, and he did it very well today.
Jordan T. - 10; Is there a better player in the league than Tingle?  Probably not.  MVP.
