2008-09 Teams: Maciej, Peter, Ezra, James, Dominik and Alex Jarzy vs. Robbie, Jordan T., Patrick, Taylor, Luke and Matthew S. Score - a 9-4 drubbing for Mac's reds.
In an early afternoon game, the reds took it to the blues, winning easily by a score of 9-4. "Yeah mans, we had it going," quarterback Maciej C. said. "Whatever that 'it' was, we had it. And in spades." The game started off quickly in favor of the reds, with seldom seen Dominik catching two quick catches over classmate and friend Matthew S. "I forgot how fast that guy was," Matt said. The blues made it close, with superstar Jordan T. catching two touchdowns to cut the lead to 3-2. After that however, the floodgates opened. Maciej C., coming off another strong game defensively, picked up two quick interceptions from his counterpart Robbie. Rob, who has lacked the form that he showed at the end of last season, threw 5 more interceptions on the day. To make things worse, almost all of the interceptions were returned for excellent yards. The last one he threw was returned by Alex Jarzy for a touchdown. "I'm feeling good out there," Jarzy said after the game. Robbie declined to comment about his performance, but limped off the field, with an injury to his ankle. Sources say he might have been paying homage to his boy Tom Brady, who limped off in a similar fashion last night.
Bogus moment - Luke and Peter's battles in the trenches. The rules of flagrant fouling and unsportsmanlike play are thrown out the window with these two around.
Offensive P.O.G - Maciej C. - Ran the show with excellent awareness. Defensive P.O.G - Alex Jarzy - 3 interceptions, the best of a great bunch. Spec Teams P.O.G - Peter - Kept his body low and fired awesome blocks.
Ratings Robbie - 5; Tried to mix it up, but he needs to make faster decisions when under pressure. Maciej - 9.5; On the other side of the spectrum. Fantastic awareness and accuracy. Patrick - 7.5; Scored twice, and play some decent defence on Ezra. Alex Jarzy. - 10; There are plays who change games. Jarzy is one of them. Taylor - 6.5; Snaps were good, but an apparent injury felled him once again. Needs to stay healthy Luke - 6; Struggled to keep the masses from Robbie. Played some decent receiver. Jordan T. - 7; Some elusiveness in the open field. James - 9.5; Excellent efforts on all ends of the fields. Great stats - 3 TDs, 4 sacks. Matthew S. - 5; Bothered by a back injury, so he was limited. He'll bounce back. Dominik - 8; Great early play. Soft hands that seem to gravitate to the ball. Ezra - 8; Solid defensive play on Patrick. Provided Maciej with an excellent secondary option. Peter - 9; Back to his old MVP ways. Great on the block, and powerful in the open. |
