In an early afternoon Monday night football game, the reds destroyed the blues 10-5.
"We simply had our sheez-nick on the ball," Thomas mumbled after the game. "We provided the bang, they provided the buck. Put it together, they got their buck banged."
The game started off poorly for the victorious reds, with QB Maciej throwing an errand pass to speedy WR Neil.
The ball ricochet off the hands of Neil and into the waiting arms of Robbie.
"Look what I found," he with no eyebrows said.
The reds took a quick 2-1 lead, thanks to a great snag by Patrick in the endzone.
However, that was pretty much it for the blues on this day. The rest of the night belonged to the reds, and specifically, QB Maciej.
After taking a 4-2 lead on a Jordan T. TD catch, the reds got a key interception TD by Maciej.
Robbie underthrew the ball to his WR, allowing Maciej to tip the ball to himself. He rumbled down the field, avoiding a well-blocked Peter, before deking out Robbie and Thomas and scoring.
"That's for you Tingle," Maciej said after the score. "I just did my best Tingle impression."
The reds were obviously inspired by the show, and ran up the score as the game went on, with Neil, Jarzy, James, Josh and Tingle all scoring at one point.
Bogus moment - James telling Patrick that he's "too squiggly to cover." Take from that what you will.
Offensive P.O.G - Maciej - excellent performance in and around the pocket.
Defensive P.O.G - Patrick - broke up a lot of plays that should've been TDs.
Spec Teams P.O.G - Josh - he's just so good at making something out of nothing.
Ratings
Robbie - 8; Didn't do a lot wrong on this day. He's almost back to last year's excellent form.
Maciej - 10; A class above everyone on this day. Blessed with a fantastic receiving corps.
Patrick - 9; Excellent defense on everyone he covered, and put up 3 touchdowns.
Taylor - 7; Ran down a few errand passes from Robbie, and his snaps were good.
James - 8; Despite his "squiggly" claims, James had an excellent overall game.
Peter - 8.5; Fantastic effort, but he must've been injured at least 10 different times.
Neil - 8; Powerful runs as per usual. An excellent option in the open field.
Matthew C. - 5; Left early with an injury.
Thomas - 7.5; Did what had to be done. Some really sneaky sacks on QB Robbie helped a lot.
Alex Jarzy - 9.5; He's an MVP candidate and he's in his rookie year. He's just that good.
Jordan T. - 9.5; Speaking of good, what hasn't been said about this guy? Brilliant.
Jack - 8; Powered his way to 3 touchdowns, but he dropped a lot of passes.
Josh - 8.5; Defensively, he shut down Ezra. Offensively, he caught everything thrown his way.
Ezra - 6; Today was the bad Ezra. Let's hope the good one shows up next time.
