| FHL Recap - Tues., Sep. 19th, 2006 Participants - Patrick, Matthew Couto, Robbie, Neil, Tommy, David and Maciej. Offensive Player of the Game - Matthew Couto; ridiculous moves. Defensive Player of the Game - David; fought off forecheckers. Notable Absentees - James, Alex D., Jacob, Peter, Graham. Best Shotblock/Save - David, making a super save on Matthew Couto, just when the Fez lookalike looked to adding to his tally. Best Goal - Matthew Couto, worming his way past all three defenders beforing roofing it top shelf. A new stick, a new player? Best Goalkeeper - No keeper, but Maciej did some splits here and there. Best Deke - Matthew Couto, making a sick move past Maciej. Fez flipped the ball up in the air past the Polish Prince and whilst the ball was in midair, he tapped it sweetly to the left with one hand on his stick. Retained possesion in the zone after that beauty. Best Pass - David to his brother Tommy, who fired it inches wide. What a cross rink pass though! Between two defenders, a missile! Biggest 'Robbie' - Maciej, all alone in front of the net, did his best Robbie impression by firing it seconds wide. Seconds boys, seconds. Biggest 'Jacob' - Maciej again, coming from behind the net and doing his best Jacob by wiring three hundred meters out of the rink. Best Fashion Sense - David; maybe those tight tee shirts do work?! Worst Fashion Sense - Robbie; terrible green ensemble. Bogus Moment - Tommy grabbing a high pass with his hand and whipping it into the net. The intent was good, but the finishing...not so much. Convo of the Day - Maciej - (imitating Robbie) Yo guys, I'm getting better now. Robbie - ... Notable Watchers - Some skaters, Roy. Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) - David - 8.5; A lot of passion in the corners. Tommy - 7; Did a jobar here and there, but should've put away more. Robbie - 9; His best overall performance in months. Neil - 8; Wasn't afraid to go for the forecheck against Big Dave. Patrick - 7.5; Flashes of class. Matthew Couto - 8.5; Offensively gifted, no doubt about it. Maciej - 5.5; Those two months in Poland hurt his game...like beans. |
