Tagline - "Could Jordan be any slower?" Teams: Ezra, Jordan, Tommy, Neil, and Maciej vs. Jacob, Patrick, Robbie, Matthew S., Dylan and Peter. Score: a 12-11 squeak out for Jake's grass greens. Game Rating (out of 10): 8 - talent of up the wazoo, but a collapse like nobody's business. Notable absentees: Matthew C. (ballin'), James (guitar), Josh, Alex (wii), Taylor (walking dog) Offensive Player of the Game: Maciej - Thinkin' about those people then. 6 TDs. Defensive Player of the Game: Tommy - Big um' hands got in the way. Special Teams Player of the Game: Jacob. Ran up more than he probably should. Pitch and Weather: Thank the heavens, the dust has ceased. Players could breathe without any problems. However, with the dust returning to the days of yore, the weather of fall has proceeded to take its place. Translation - colder times, boys. Summary: What should have been a walkover for Ezra's maroons turned out to be a grass green victory in the end. Despite some awesome performances from Jordan and Maciej, the grass greens took a late lead, with a Dylan touchdown. Despite their best efforts, the maroons didn't have it in them (whatever that was, I wish I could bottle it and sell it on the black market) and the grass greens ended the game at 12-11 with Pat's 4th TD of the day. Bogus Moment of the Day - Jordan's speed, or lack thereof. It's been established that this guy is...slow. At one point, he was outrun by Dylan, a player who, bless him, is not known for speedy feets. Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Robbie. - 9; Has really come into his own this season. Maciej - 8; Great start, but faded like a shirt in the wash down the stretch. Patrick - 9; Continues to fire up them big'um numbers. Neil - 8; Contributed upon late arrival. His speed was much needed by the maroons. Jacob - 8; Made a nice catch in the endzone, and played some good man to man. Peter - 7.5; Flashes of class all day long. Tommy - 7; Defensively, solid. Offensively, has lost all confidence. Jordan. - 9; Couldn't pull out the victory at the end. Ezra - 8; Flying under the radar suits him rather well. Matthew S. - 7; Has had better games, but didn't make any mistakes either. Dylan - 8.5; Leave him open, and he'll burn you. |
