Score: a 11-9 sqeaker for Jordan's blues. Game Rating (out of 10): 9 - Huge turnout, great defence. Notable absentees: Matthew S., Dylan, James, Graham. Offensive Player of the Game: Maciej - Won point wherever he went. Defensive Player of the Game: Corenton - 2 interceptions. Special Teams Player of the Game: Jacob. Kept moving it forward. Pitch and Weather: About as good as it gets. Summary: With a massive turnout, including the return of stalwart Alex, the Wednesday afternoon game had it all: great defence, solid offense and good kickoff blocking. After Robbie blew out his arm three quarters of the way into the game, Maciej was traded to provide QB duty. It didn't help as Jordan threw the final nail in the deskboard of love with a perfect toss to an onfire Tommy. Bogus Moment of the Day - Lenny/Owen - Alex what are you doing? Robbie - 7; Struggled with the added receiving options. Maciej - 9.5; Dominating in all aspects of the game. Patrick - 7; Played defence all game long. Neil - 7.5; Ran his usual up and down pattern with mixed success. Peter - 8; Powerful offensively, but lacked it on the defensive end. Tommy - 8; Swatted away loose passes and scored the game clinching touchdown. Corenton - 8.5; Used his speed well. Alex. - 9; Returned to the FFL and fired in 3 touchdowns and superb defence. Tobi - 8; Big and strong in the open field, and caught everything thrown his way. Taylor - 7; Fired in two TDs, but floated endlessly. Sierra - 7; Got a TD snag near the end of the game. Moyra - 6; Scored a point. Not a typo. Maddie - 4; Go team! Josh - 7.5; Paced his way down the sidelines but got little support. Jacob - 9; Quick hands in the endzone. Jordan - 8.5; Saw the seams well, but faded down the stretch. Ezra - 7; Defended well when called upon. |
