| FHL Recap - Sat., Oct. 28th, 2006 Participants - Robbie, Patrick, Alex, Graham, Tommy, Maciej and James. Offensive Player of the Game - James; shot had elevation. Defensive Player of the Game - Graham; his best defensive effort yet. Played at: Fareena Notable Absentees - Neil, Matthew C., Peter, David, Jacob. Best Shotblock/Save - Maciej, a stack pad effort on Patrick, worthy of Darren Puppa. Best Goal - James, who put the ball between his legs, deked out Tommy and shot a top shelf effort on Maciej. Classy. Best Goalkeeper - Alex, edging out Maciej. Looked confident. Best Deke - The aforementioned move by James. He's starting to make those moves more and more consistent. Uh oh, spaghetti yos. Best Pass - Graham to Robbie, from behind his own net to the opponents zone. Robbie unleashed a one timer that Alex managed to snag. Biggest 'Robbie' - Tommy. He stickhandled his way in front of the net, was all alone, the net gaping...and he missed. HOW!? Biggest 'Jacob' - Maciej. Tried to dump the ball into Graham, and ended up shooting it way out of the rink. Best Fashion Sense - James, fancy ass Adidas jacket. Worst Fashion Sense - Patrick. That blue striped hat should be destroyed. The James Moment - Graham falling out of the rink. I don't think he was pushed. Rather the momentum forced him out of the rink...much to the delight of all. Convo of the Day - Robbie - Why is my underwear so high? Maciej - Do you want me to raise the level a bit? James - Oh snap and crackle, dot international. Notable Watchers - Wanda and Oreo, small dog which kept stealing the FHL ball, some kids, some taller guy. Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) - Tommy - 8; Good snapshots from the slot got him goals. Robbie - 8; Continues at high level. Stickhandling a plus. Graham - 8.5; Superb in stretches. Patrick - 8; Effort at highest level as per usual. James - 9; Roofed the majority of his chances. A constant danger. Maciej - 7; Good, but a few slipped under his glove. Alex - 8; Controlled his rebounds well. |
