| FHL Recap - Fri., October 20th, 2006 Participants - Neil, Patrick, Jacob, Tommy, Peter and Maciej. Offensive Player of the Game - Jacob; effective runs down the side. Defensive Player of the Game - Peter; got the ball out of the corners. Notable Absentees - Robbie, Alex, James, David, Graham, Matthew C. Best Shotblock/Save - Tommy, a look what I found block with his stick, bailing out teammate Mac, who had given the ball right to the Captain. Best Goal - Maciej, worming his way past all three opponents before hacking the ball into the bottom corner of the net. Best Goalkeeper - No goalkeepers in sight. Best Deke - Peter on Patrick. Peter, not normally known for his offense, made a superb switch past Pat, who completely flipped around in confusion. Best Pass - Jacob to Patrick, cross crease, no look pass. It's nice! Biggest 'Robbie' - Patrick, all alone, firing a backhand way wide of the net. Biggest 'Jacob' - Jacob. Not really a surprise; this time he fired it off of Tommy and out of the rink. Yay. Best Fashion Sense - Neil, the orange shirt attaining legendary status. Worst Fashion Sense - Patrick with his nike jacket. The James Moment - The lack of "seeing the ball." Almost impossible to find the ball, and it wasn't even 8 o'clock. Holy dice on mice! Convo of the Day - Neil - Yeah well, I like magic cards... Tommy - Yeah so I do... Pat - Me three... Maciej - Oi, Nancies, start playing some hockey. I'm the only Steve here! Notable Watchers - A guy on a bike, a woman with dog, a woman without dog. Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) - Peter - 8.5; Can't argue with his defensive awareness. Tommy - 7; Worked hard. Neil - 7; As he put it, "lacked motivation," near the end. Patrick - 7; Early flashes of class. Jacob - 9; Best on the day. Maciej - 8; Brilliant early on, suffered as darkness crept within...age...crom. |
