Teams: Maciej, Jordan, Patrick, Jordan T., Lenny, James and Owen vs. David, Alex, Tommy, Robbie, Ezra, Cam, Neil and Graham. Score: 7-6 final for Dave's sky blues. Game Rating (out of 10): 4 - Great game until... Notable absentees: Jacob, Peter, Matthew S., Danielle, Matthew C. Offensive Player of the Game: David. Poses a threat. Defensive Player of the Game: Tommy. Quietly effective. Special Teams Player of the Game: Ezra. Got his yards. Pitch and Weather: Upon which times were good only after day care kids had exited. For most of the game, yay, was played upon a quarter-eth of a field and not many were happy. Yay, when did froth the leaving of guys and the game expanded according to the plan. Summary: Highly skilled, great turnout, lots of solid individual actions, great collective teamwork. What could possibly ruin such a game? Girls. Get the fuck off the field...forever. No one likes you. You aren't funny. Seriously, I've never had a girl make me laugh. Not once in my 22 years. Girls are not funny, and that's not a stereotype or an insult, its fact. They yack endlessly on cellphones about boys named Earl, and never give 100 percent to anything sports related. Oh sure give them a makeup jar and they'll smear that shit all over their faces like the world was going to end next Thursday, but give them a football and they'll take it home and discuss feelings with it. Sheesh. For those ladies who showed up yesterday, I quote from a wise man named Jeff Hackett: "Ye can leave now." Bogus Moment of the Day - See above. Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Robbie - 5; When the hell did he show up? Patrick - 7; Hurt his foot, but gave a valiant effort on defence. Maciej - 6; Frustrated, like a blind man in a china mans nickel shop. Tommy - 7.5; Solid defensively. David - 8.5; 2 touchdowns and numerous catches. Dot see eh. Neil - 7; Ran around a lot, good blocking on special teams. Lenny - 6; 1 TD, but fuck else. Cam - 7; Lots of heart, coupled with limited skill. Graham - 5.5; Had 1 touchdown, but talked about experience points with Lenny. Jordan - 7; If he was any slower, he'd be Robbie. Ezra - 8; As always noticeable. Has a solid arm. Alex - 6; Not even close to crystalgrowth formation. James - 7; Off the pace to start, but got better as game went on. Owen - 4.5; Reminded many of a combo of FFL legends Kyle and Moyra. Jordan T. - 8; Excellent debut. 2 touchdowns, did not a thing wrong. |
