FHL Recap - Wed., Nov. 29th, 2006

Participants - Jordan, Robbie, Patrick, Neil, Maciej, Ezra, James, Peter, Graham and Moyra.
Offensive Player of the Game - Jordan; some worldclass moves.
Defensive Player of the Game - Peter; kept his team in it.
Played at: Gareena
Notable Absentees - Tommy, Alex, Matthew C., Josh.
Best Shotblock/Save - Maciej stoning Jordan, who was left all alone in front of the net.  Got the right pad on it to deflect just wide of the post.
Best Goal - Jordan, who after a long run from his own zone, past three defenders, fired it on net.  Maciej saved the initial shot, but Jordan picked up his own rebound and tapped it in to the yawning cage.
Best Goalkeeper - Maciej.  Solid for the most part.
Best Deke - Jordan, putting the ball between his legs and tapping it past Robbie in a way that disgustingly embarassed the one of much pigeon.  Apparently, he was a patent pending on that very move.  It is nice.
Best Pass
- Maciej, going wide on Patrick, before flipping a quick no look pass to an open Ezra.  He made no mistake.
Biggest 'Robbie' - James.  After earlier missing a sitter that was super ugly, the porpoised one twice fired it wide of the net from the goalline.  From the GOAL LINE!  Ouch.  Times two.
Biggest 'Jacob' - James, firing it over the fence.
Best Fashion Sense - Graham; nothing too wierd.  Great success!
Worst Fashion Sense
- Peter; bland combo of shirt and pants.
The James Moment
- James getting a shot square in the balls.  Square in the noots.  Nevertheless, the ball deflected to Ezra who ended up whacking a goal in.  James' moment put a new meaning on the phrase, "took one for the team."
Convo of the Day
-
Maciej - Where is Graham?
Graham - (throwing a stick at the Gareena, not-yet turned on light)
Maciej - Graham!
Graham - I have to turn the light on!
Maciej - That's not going to help.
(light turns on)
Maciej - Guess he showed us.
(Neil hi fives Peter)
Notable Watchers - Lady shit for brains, some kids sitting on the net, Paul Robinson, some people in the bball court, a few coming out of the school.
