November 21, 2005
Teams: Peter, Robbie, Johnny and Matthew Couto vs. Dylan, Maciej, Patrick and James.
Score: A 6-5 win for Pete's bright green boys.
Game Rating (out of 10): 9 - 40 minutes in length, with spectacular results.
Notable absentees:  Tommy, Matthew Soegtrop, Danielle, Alex D., Owen.
Offensive Player of the Game: Patrick.  Scored twice, fantastic catches.
Defensive Player of the Game
: Peter.  Tough stuff on d from Pete.
Special Teams Player of the Game
: Johnny.  Fell into a familiar rhythym.
Pitch and Weather
: Darker than a whales vagina outside.  Started to rain a bit at the end, and James began to philosophize about how he was not a wimp like most Canadians.  Has to do with his Scottish roots apparently.
Summary
:  Despite their being only 8 players, all present were of the highest quality FFL has to offer.  Each brought his A game to a very entertaining (if overly short) encounter.  Patrick and Dylan were monster catchers, Johnny ran like some type of zephyr, Matthew Couto brought intensity and girl flirting, Maciej and Robbie provided excellent QB and leadership skills, and Peter and James provided the heart and soul of hustle and D, whilst managing to cement slide and complain respectively.  The game was ended on an excellent Maciej to Johnny toss (the former being traded because Couto had homey bye byes to attend to), who ran screaming all the way to the end of the opponents zone.
Bogus Moment of the Day
- Take your pick from these 3 doozies: Peter's sliding and meeting of body to cement, Johnny's very familiar kickoff running paths, or Peter's demolishment of one Dylan on a block.  If I had to choose, it would be the latter.
Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowes
t):
Robbie
- 8; Spent more time at receiver than he is accustomed to, and got a receiving TD.
Peter
- 8; Didn't quite do much on offence, but was a beast on d.  An absolute beast.  Beast.
Patrick
- 10; Excellent game from Pat.  Caught a number of beautiful passes.  Go to guy.
Maciej
- 7; Spent most of after-game wondering about Mike Y and Felix Potvin.
James
- 8; A super display on all ends, but marred by a few bobbled handoffs on special teams.
Dylan
.- 9; Was suprisingly focused on the task at hand.  2 TDs, numerous catches.
Matthew Couto
- 7; Was fine until ladied hots showed up.  Then he was nowhere to be seen.
Johnny
- 7.5;  At his best on special teams, but complained of fatigue at all other times.
