Game Recap - Sat., Nov. 10, 2007

Llama Glama (3-2) 25 - Jordan (15), Josh (10), Peter (0); Goalie - Taylor
Han Solo Experience (2-3) 17 - Robbie (8), Alex (4), Patrick (3), Tommy (2); Goalie - Maciej
Played at - Gareena, home of the leafy corners.
Offensive Player of the Game - Jordan; he finished his (numerous) chances
Defensive Player of the Game - Peter; did what no HSE player did, and that was play defence.
Best Shotblock/Save - Maciej, underfire all night long, pulling a marvellous butterfly snag on a confused/frustrated Jordan.  Whipped out a flying blocker that denied the Llama forward.
Best Goal - Jordan, turning around his defender, faking a pass out of the corner and whipping a no look wrister top shelf on a surprised HSE Maciej
Best Goalkeeper - Maciej.  Was peppered with about 100 shots.
Best Deke - Robbie, undressing Josh in the corner.  Please, don't forget your pants, lil' one.
Best Pass
- Josh to Jordan, who had a yawning net.  The pass was so slick, it left a visible mark on the cement it travelled on.
Biggest 'Robbie' - Josh, complaining of 'too much backspin' when he knew all along it was all about the missed opportunity.  Far corner, HSE goalie down and out, no defender in sight...and he put it wide.
Biggest 'Neil' - Alex, firing a wrist shot out of the rink and into the bike lock area.
Best Fashion Sense - Tommy, making things swing like a fool in a swimming pool.
Worst Fashion Sense
- Patrick, an idiot with a flappy hat.  Only I can pull that off.
James' 'Bogus' Moment
- Tommy bringing the pads.  What initiative!
Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) -
Jordan - 9; He was open too often and too long, but he capitalized.
Josh - 8.5; Did the work Jordan didn't want to do.
Peter - 7.5; Played it safe but had no offense to speak of.
Taylor - 6; When HSE shot, they scored.  Only a few worthy saves.

Patrick - 7; Struggled to keep the two Llama pillars from crashing.
Robbie - 7.5; Worked the corners well.
Alex - 7; Off the mark for the most part, but had some flashes.
Tommy - 10; Brought the pads; automatic man of the match
Maciej - 9; The five hole was open, but he kept his team within striking distance.
