Tagline - "Luke, use the Force!" Teams: Robbie, Peter, Neil, Tommy and Luke vs. Maciej, Matthew S., Patrick and Jamar. Score: a 21-20 bunce'er for Rob's not quite black blacks. Game Rating (out of 10): 10 - Skill level at its highest. Notable absentees: Jordan, Ezra, Jacob (early Spring cleaning), James, Alex, Taylor. Offensive Player of the Game: Peter - Set a new record with 10 TDs. Defensive Player of the Game: Patrick - Stuck to his man later on. Special Teams Player of the Game: Tommy - Threw em' blocks, and key ones too. Pitch and Weather: Cold, under the 10 celsius mark. A lot of kids in the endzone by the baseball diamond, making Peter and other big brutes busy bees. Say that 3 times fast. Summary: With a perfect turnout and a not-too warm day, the Thursday football game had offence written all over it. Several players set personal records, and as many as 6 players had over 5 touchdowns. The game however belonged to the QB's, with both Mac and especially Rob having fine outings on the night. Passes were thrown off balance, behind the back, around and through defenders, and were so accurate you could take a piss, pick your nose, fuck a blonde and still be able to make a perfect catch. Brappin' tosh computers. The game ended when, Peter, gunning for the TD record, made a great catch in the endzone, to both shatter the record and draw the ire of Patrick. Bogus Moment of the Day - Tommy's love of cupcakes. You had to be there. Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Robbie - 10; Despite throwing 2 TDs, he was on the money, honey bunny. 21 passing TDs. Maciej - 8; Kept plugging away, but the plugs ran out. Patrick - 10; Second consecutive 10 performance. Can anyone stop this guy? Neil - 9.5; Excels as a secondary scoring option. Great numbers, great heart. Peter - 10; If there was a 12, he'd get it. The penultimate performance. Tommy - 9; Fired 3 touchdowns, and kept his man in front of him. Not a thing wrong. Jamar - 8; Tried to gain YAC (yards after catch) and had mixed results. Good hands. Matthew S. - 9; Wormed his way through seams and caught everything thrown his way. Luke - 7; A disaster no longer. Played a very decent second half. |
