| GAME RECAP - FHL - May 8, 2009
Participants - Jordan D, Jordan T., Maciej, Neil and Patrick (goalie) vs. Jarzy, Josh, Robbie, Ben and Matthew C. (goalie) Played at - Gareena. Offensive Player of the Game - Maciej - passing game was working well. Defensive Player of the Game - Neil - try to get past him and you'll fail. Best Goal - Jordan T., finishing a breakout pass from Maciej and tucking it under Pat's pad with ease. Best Goalkeeper - Matthew C. over Patrick. Both were good, but Matthew made a couple of fantastic saves on the Jordans. Best Deke - Robbie, a spinoramma on defensive wizard Neil, which had everyone going, "who replaced Robbie with the stickhandling guru?" Best Pass - Jordan D., backhand pass to Jordan T. If he passed more often, he might be even that much better. Biggest 'Robbie' - Maciej, firing a Jordan D. pass wide of the net. Biggest 'Neil' - Jarzy, firing it about 50 feet into the alleyway. James' bogus Moment - Robbie's move on Neil. What a fantastic move, coming from a guy known more for his workmanlike game. Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) - Jordan D. - 8.5; Passing game needs work, but is there anyone better near the net? Patrick - 7.5; Rebound control was solid, but he let in a few softies. Maciej - 8; Provided good backup to offensive Jordans. Jordan T. - 8.5; Stickhandled well, and fired from all corners with good results. Alex Jarzy - 8; Very good in front of the net, but defense was non-existent. Matthew C. - 8; Worked well from side to side, and made a few wonderful saves. Neil - 8; Continues to sweep defenders away like they were dust. Robbie - 6.5; Rusty in a sport he doesn't exactly favor. Some good finishing. Josh - 8; Good stickhandling in the neutral zone. Ben - 7; Fired his shot from the point with mixed results. |
