Teams: Some mix ups, but generally it was Patrick, Robbie, Elliot and Matthew Soegtrop vs. Maciej, Davey, Graham, and Dylan.
Score: 12-7 for Pat's blues.
Game Rating (out of 10): 6 - not a bad turnout, but most everyone seemed to be daddlying around rather than playing.  Only Rob, Patrick, and Elliot gave an honest effort throughout the game.  It was no coicidence than that the blues won.
Notable absentees:  Alex D., Tommy (both up north), James, Danielle, Owen.
Offensive Player of the Game: Patrick.  5 receiving touchdowns for the winning blue side, and didn't mahoney once.  Good effort.
Defensive Player of the Game: Graham.  When he covered Elliot, Elliot didn't score.  When Graham was caught out of position, or stuck covering someone else, Elliot scored.  He was simply that important to the greens.
Special Teams Player of the Game: Elliot. 2 kickoff TDs, with the last one particularly beautiful.  Was helped by great blocking from Robbie and Patrick.
Pitch and Weather: A nice afternoon, with windies and such down to a minimum.  The pitch itself was covered in littered old fireworks, once proud, yet no longer useful.  Some guys were playing the ball to the b, but not a many minded.
Summary:  It was all blues.  Robbie, absolutely giddy from the passing choices he had, used his excellent forray of passing skills to find Patrick on a number of occasions.  There were a lot of good plays run by the blues, somethng the greens could never really counter.  The blues special team blocking was incredible, as was evident in 2 kickoff TDs.  Matthew Soegtrop had a few notable interception to put the proverbial nail in the coffin for the greens.  The best overall player for the greens was Graham, who scored 3 awesome TDs and was incredible on defensive man to man coverage.  Despite his flashes of classy play, his team in general was lazy and unable to coordinate any sort of a comeback.  The score was never really in doubt.
Bogus Moment of the Day - The bikes that were brought by Patrick and Dylan.  Patrick's, called the Shaggin Wagon, contains the worst paintjob seen since the old' Burger Hop near Northathrop Ohion.  And Dylan's bike had its front weel nearly two times smaller than it's back wheel.  The front brakes had what you called "air brakes", in that they only halted air and not tire.
Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Elliot- 9; Was able to find the open space when needed.  Granted, he received excellent blocking from his team, but it was his ability to find those openings that made him such a danger.  Scored on all three ends of the field, but was caught gambling a few times on defence.
Robbie - 9; Robbie has made his case to be considered the best QB in the FFL.  His consistent play has overshadowed that of Mac, and he never hesitates to throw the long bomb or the shot plop.  On special teams, he presented the Robo Brick in it's finest form.
Patrick - 9; When he scored his first TD, he was incredibly relieved to say the last (considering his 0 tds in the previous game).  The FFL's leading scorer continued his receiving prowess, and did not mahoney in this game.  His defence was lacking at times, but was better than most others.
Matthew Soegtrop - 6; Although he did intercept twice and score the same number of times, he was generally a moot point.  The highlight of Matt's day was his leaving to get a freezie with his bud bud Davey.  Has really dropped off in terms of offensive production over the last month or so.
Maciej - 6; Didn't throw any interceptions in this game, but didn't throw anything spectacular either.  The spiral was consistently there, but some of his passes were way off the mark.  Has lost serious ground to Robbie.  Needs to improve on defence and special teams as well.
Davey - 7; Did his job admirably well, especially in the second half of the game.  Was the games best runningback with two very decent handoff runs.  However, outside of that was nonexistent on the offensive end.  Put excellent pressure on the quarterback with solid steamboat coverage.
Graham - 8; Who knew he had this kind of "game" in him.  Ran like a cheetah late for a dinner party, highlighted with a great kickoff TD run.  Did tire near the end, but never packed it in.  3 touchdowns.
Dylan- 7; Flashes of class, but also flashes of sheer "say what" play.  He has the talent, but the consistency is not there.  For example, on one play he caught the ball ahead of the tight coverage of Patrick.  On another, he tried to catch the ball with his knee and ended up on the ground in a heap.  Always smilin'.
