FHL Recap - Tues., May 16th, 2006

Participants - Tommy, Robbie, Patrick, Kyle, Teddy, Maciej, Alex D. and Matthew Couto.
Offensive Player of the Game - Matthew Couto; Had some sweet moves.
Defensive Player of the Game - Maciej; Quick to recover.
Played at: Fareena.
Best Shotblock/Save - Teddy, swiping at a high loose ball like a goaltender possessed.  Worthy of Tim Cheveldae.
Best Goal - The goal that settled the score.  Maciej receiving a pass from Alex D. in his own zone, deked past Kyle and Tommy, holding off Patrick and patiently waiting for Teddy to come out of net before firing a sweet setup to an open Matt.  Fez completed the move nicely with a tappy.
Best Goalkeeper - Teddy, outdueling Alex D.  Great positioning.
Best Deke - Matthew Couto, putting the wraparound on a confused looking Kyle before firing it over to the Corporal.  Nice!
Best Pass
- Kyle, with a sweet looking cross crease pass to an open Corporal, who made no mistake.  One of many from Kyle on the day.
Biggest 'Robbie' - When Patrick fell over the boards while trying to corale the ball, Tommy saw the opportunity.  He stole the loose ball, came in front of the net and fired it...wide!  HOW!!??!
Best Fashion Sense
- Alex D., the sweatshirt is back.  And not in black.
Worst Fashion Sense
- Matthew Couto, who wore orange worse than Kyle.
Bogus Moment
- Pat's fallin' over the boards from a standstill position was bad, but how about Tom's miss on the followup play.  Wierd, like a polka dot lightsaber.
Notable Watchers - Yusko et al. playin' burban.
Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) -
Tommy - 7; Had a few 'Robbies' but hard to get the ball past.
Maciej - 7; Passing good, but had a few McCabe like giveaways.
Patrick - 8; The last line of defence.
Kyle - 7.5; Surprisingly good.  Has a wicked shot from the corner.
Alex D. - 7; Weaker than usual at keeper, but scored a fair share.
Teddy - 8; Great saves.  Played with an awful stick unfortunately.
Robbie - 7; Started off well, but faded down the stretch.  Good passing.
Matt C. - 8; "Pass it behind the net, like a professional."
