Best Shotblock/Save - Alex D., stoning a one timer from Maciej in close. Looked to be a sure thing, but nay, it was not. Maciej tried to find the five hole on the Crystalgrowth Padawan, but unfortunately he closed his legs pretty quickly. Now if only he could teach that to prostitutes, and we'd have an STD free enviro in Toronto.
Best Goal - Maciej firing a cross rink pass to a streaking Jesse, who deflected it sweetly behind Alex D.
Best Goalkeeper - Alex D., incredible as always. Took a shot in the noggin' and kept going.
Best Deke - Jesse, who on blades, pulled an incredible juke on Jacob near the end boards. Faked going into his zone, and zipped quickly back into the oppositions zone, leaving Jake in the dust. Jess then fired a pass over to a streakin' Mac and the "best shotblock/save" was made.
Best Pass - Maciej, with an incredible behind the back pass to Rob. Coming up to the centre line, Maciej faked vividly to his left and played an incredible drop pass to a now-line crossing Rob. The Corporal made short work of the play by firing it square into the top shelf.
Biggest 'Robbie' - Patrick, doing his best Robbie, firing it 40 feet wide, 323 feet high. Brutal.
Best Fashion Sense - Patrick, maybe brown is your color...man.
Worst Fashion Sense - Alex D., who did not wear the usual sweatshirt.
Bogus Moment - Maciej's destruction of Jacob. Jacob, clearly beaten on a move by Maciej, ever dilligently tried to check Maciej off the ball. Bad mistake, when the Polish puglist was making his way strongly to the net. Jake managed to stay on his feet for a few seconds, before the momentum got the best of him and he went a-flyin' into the boards behind the net. There he lay, ever the human pylon.
