Teams: Danielle, Robbie, Patrick and Alex D. vs. Tommy, James, Maciej and Owen.
Score: 12-11 for Tommy's blues.
Game Rating (out of 10): 8 - cold and wet, but the game was hot and not wet. Turnout was decent, but the likes of Dylan, Lenny and David were no shows.
Offensive Player of the Game: James.  Had a close rivalry with Danielle the entire game, and just beat her out in the end with 6 touchdowns.  Caught the ball like his plane was going down and his passport was in his other coat.
Defensive Player of the Game: Maciej.  Hahah, nope, jokes, it was James.  James kept swatting the ball out of Alex D's hands, particularly near the end of the game when QB Rob went to Alex during crunch time.  James, not a fan of crunch cereal, was in total control on defensive coverage.  One interception.
Special Teams Player of the Game: Tommy.  Always unheralded on special teams, Tommy gets recognition (finally) after some magnificent defensive stops and a few incredible runs through the greens special teams defense.  On one kickoff, he made everyone look like total fools with his super dekes.
Pitch and Weather: Cold and rainy.  Many a few weren't too happy with the weather being as it was, but the game went on.  The pitch itself wasn't wet, which was surprising considering the precipitation (dats rain in fancy talk).
Summary:  The initial part of the game was spent underneath the roof of the nearby Fern Avenue school, waiting, oh waiting, for one more person to show up and make the teams even.  When the teams were finally decided, the game had a slow start.  The greens took an early lead, but as was forecasted by the blues, they got too confident of a victory.  The blues stormed back through some awesome kickoff runs from Owen and Tommy, and a few half decent tosses by Maciej to leading scorer James.  The greens did their best to stay in the game, but were unlucky that receivers Patrick and Alex D. caught the mahoney bug on several clutch occasions.  Danielle was Robbie's only really consistent receiver, as she scored 5 times on the day.  The game ended with a James TD run of about half the field, subsequently also ending the TD rivalry between him and Danielle at 6-5.
Bogus Moment of the Day - Patrick's wide open mahoney in the endzone was atrocious, as was Maciej's terrible inter-mahoney on defence, but the bogus moment of the day goes to a play not football related.  On one play, 4 players got tangled up brutally in the middle of the field, and many fell, watching the ball sail over their heads harmlessly.  Patrick seemed to take the brunt of the collision but got up and chugged on like the good train that he is, and should continue to be.  Chug on, you crazy coke-mondle.
Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Tommy- 8; Tommy had a solid game on both ends of the field.  He scored twice, once on the ground and once in the air, and the Hand of Tom reemerged in more cases than not.  However, he was burned by Danielle early on in the game, but looked positively cool anyway.
Robbie - 8; Robbie continues to showcase his quarterbacking skills, outthrowing his QB nemesis Maciej for the second game in a row.  Despite outplaying the blues QB however, he did not always make the right choices, which may have consequently cost his team the game in the end.
Patrick - 8; Patrick started the game off very poorly, mahoneying like he'd never mahoneyed before.  In fact, he had some incredibly brutal misses in the endzone; one in particular when his coverage was nowhere to be seen.  However, his second half play was very admirable.
James - 9.5; So close to a perfect score for the character James.  He defended Alex D. and Patrick incredibly well, and had some good stops on kickoffs.  But he was an absolute demon on the offensive side, scoring and catching like some sort of spidered web.  Wore his away jersey today.
Maciej - 6.5; Although he did throw reasonably well, and did make some good plays on the defensive end, his man to man coverage almost cost his team the game.  The spiral was there, but it seemed like an empty vessel at times, traveling into some far away land were unicorns buy Gap apparel.
Owen - 6.5; Didn't really seem to be at his usual peak self.  Attributed his laziness to that of a stummy ache, but no one really knows.  Threw a few good throws, but the highlight of his day was his broom handling and general red shirt fastanza.
Danielle - 9.5; One of the most underrated players in FFL history, Danielle really has nothing left to prove to anyone anymore.  She shows up, she scores, she plays defence, and she kicks the living stitches out of Maciej's football.  Had a good rivalry going with James, but lost in the end.
Alex D. - 7.5; Alex D., or Alex Crystal as he prefers to be called, was covered by James.  Normally, that would lead to touchdowns galore, but James was on his game today.  Still played a solid game.  Brought his friend, "lime in the coconut" with him but he only watched from the side.
