2008-09
Maciej, Jordan D., Jarzy, Taylor, James vs. Robbie, Peter, Patrick, Thomas, Josh Neil switched on offense. Final Score 16-14, blacks over reds.
Summary:
The blacks edged out the reds in a hotly contested affair, 16-14. "We came out and we played," linebacker Thomas said. "The reds came out, but they weren't as hungry as we were. We were mucho hungry. Like starved. The win satisfied our hunger." The blacks got a good effort from their squad, but were led by an inspired receiving corps of Josh and Patrick. The reds fought back, and kept the game going with some nice flea-flicker plays, including 3 in a row to Taylor. "Maraaaagh," Taylor said. However, the blacks took advantage of some poor defense by cornerback James M., who was scored on by every player on the blacks squad. "I didn't do anything wrong," James maintained after the game. "It was probably your fault." Added Thomas, who fired in with a couple of sweet catches and a touchdown. "Our hunger was satisfied. No longer do we have to dine out. Nor order in. It's all about the hunger satisfaction."
Bogus moment of the game Taylor, after he missed a catch: "Hey, I'm not Jesus!" Thanks for that input pal, but how about making that catch next time?
Offensive Player of the Game - Patrick - scored a lot, used good footspeed. Defensive Player of the Game - Peter - fired through 3-men blocks with ease. Special Teams Player of the Game - Jarzy - kept his feet moving on kickoffs.
Player Ratings:
Patrick 9; Very good effort paid off with fantastic numbers. Needs to learn how to kick. Maciej - 7; Up and down game. Still has a great accurate arm, but was hit often and hard. Jordan D. - 7.5; Very strong on the ball. Left early, might be whipped. Neil - 7.5; Didn't do anything wrong in a mercenary role. Very fast. Peter - 9; Kept up his terrorizing of QB Mac and Jordan D. Bled all over field and players. Thomas - 8; Great catches, good snaps, worked hard on the line. Solid. Robbie - 8.5; Blessed with good receivers, but he made things work. James - 6; There's defence, and then there's whatever James did today. Good offensively. Jarzy - 7; Ran a lot, but numbers didn't really pile up. Josh - 8; Excellent agility in the open field. Caught everything thrown his way. Taylor - 7.5; Only reason he didn't get 10 is because he's not Jesus. |
