Matthew S., Peter, Maciej, Jacob, Josh, Alex Jarzy vs. Robbie, Jordan D., Patrick, Ezra, Chris, Taylor. James switched on offense. Final Score 8-6 victory for Matt's purps.
Summary:
The purples edged out the blues in a rainy, chippy affair, 8-6. "Fucking guys cheated from start to finish," Maciej said after the game. "All they did was call stupid fouls about 10 minutes after the fact. And some of those laterals...no way they were legal." The game started off well for the blues, with Ezra running an 80-yard touchdown in for a 2-0 score. After hearing their fair share of trash talk, the purps gathered themselves and responded in kind. The arrival of Jarzy allowed the purps to boast a formidable defensive line. Jarzy and Peter racked up a combined 7 sacks on the day, and kept QB Robbie scrambling and dancing for room. "I had none," he mumbled dejectedly after the game. The blues attempted a comeback, highlighted by a Jordan D. speed burst past a shocked Jarzy. "Didn't know he was that fast," he said. However, it was all for not, as the purps answered with touchdowns by Jacob and Maciej. Matthew S., newly named QB, had a fantastic game, shaking off an early interception and firing in 8 touchdowns. "Felt good to beat (brother) Rob," he said. "Going to rub it in at din-din."
Bogus moment of the game - Taylor playing in one shoe. I don't even know what to say. That pretty much sums it up.
Offensive Player of the Game - Matthew S. - cool, calm collected - and victorious. Defensive Player of the Game - Peter - called plays on the line and kept score down. Special Teams Player of the Game - Josh - picked up two fumbled kicks.
