Score: An 12-12 tie, thanks to Robbie having to leave for his far away home. You know, all of two doors away. Got to get a head start to beat the rush hour traffic.
Game Rating (out of 10): 7 - Could've been better, if it wasn't for the constant interuption and general disarray.
Notable absentees: Danielle, Peter, Johnny, Matthew Couto.
Offensive Player of the Game: Maciej. A class above.
Defensive Player of the Game: Matthew S. Excellent.
Special Teams Player of the Game: Elliot. Great jukes!
Pitch and Weather: Warm, even hot at times. Sun pissing off those receivers facing the rink and the quarterback facing towards Danielle's house.
Summary: Pat bounced the ball with his face, Jake complained a lot, James sucked on defence, Dylan looked confused, Owen reaked of pot, Alex D. spun around, Maciej played well, Robbie is afraid of his mom, Lenny runs like a gazelope, Matthew Soegtrop is fast, Elliot too, Tommy was a spoiler, and Graham looked like a lanky douche. The game ended when Robbie, terrified of his mom, decided to get a head start on the long drive home, subsequently costing the deciding point in the game.
Bogus Moment of the Day - That tetris kick off was wierd, but how about Pat catching the ball with his face. Beauty!
Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Robbie - 4.5; Had 9 passing TDs, but to be honest, he should have had so much more. Blessed with one of the most potent receiving corps ever assembled, Robbie made bad decision after decision and left in the middle of the game to notify his parents that he was playing two doors away. Needs to work on his game, stat.
Jacob - 8.5; Gave Maciej a lot of work and managed 2 TDs nonetheless. Constant danger on all ends, plays a solid game. Should foul a bit less on the "pick" however. Ouch.
Patrick - 8.5; An excellent receiver who knows where to be for the touchdown. Had 4 TDs and only 2 mahoneys. If he cuts his hair in the next millenium, he may just be even better. Then again, that hair may give him his receiving power.
Maciej - 8.5; Had 2 rushing touchdowns and played damn good jobar football.
Lenny - 6; The most awake of the "stoned" crew. Good on D, not so much on O.
Matthew Soegtrop - 9; One of the best catches was made by Mini S. Maciej lobbed the ball deep into the endzone and Matt ran it down, a near impossible task, snagging it in front of a shocked Jake. Matt, who rarely shows emotion, showed some delight by slaming the ball on the ground and saying, "ya damn right." Or something of the sort. 2 TDs, 2 INTs on the day.
Tommy - 9; Anyone who doubts the guys skills pays for it in the end. Case in point on this day, Elliot gave Tommy too much room and Lt. Eyebrow lit up the scoreboard with two incredible snags. Defence solid as always and shows good leadership. Quote of the day: "Apu: Defence Defence! You call that blowing!" 3 TDs.
Alex D. - 5; Had 1 TD on the day, but was most effective when spinning around in a circle.
James - 7; 2 TDs, about 6 mahoneys. Was burned on defence by Graham, Elliot and Patrick, but never gave up. Was rusty, but picked up his "groove" near the end of the game.
Elliot - 8; An excellent receiver with speed to boot, Elliot got poor support from Robbie. Had he a good QB throwing to him, he may have had 10 TDs. Finished with 3 TDs, 2 PTDs.
Graham - 8; Showed that he has some skill with a few very decent jukes and dekes. Got a lot of yardage after the catch and played a solid game overall. 2 TDs.
Owen - 4; He was there.
Dylan - 7; Same ol' same ol' with Dylan. Excellent on the offensive end, with some serious juking and deking but slow and a liability on the defensive side. Still an entertaining player and an asset for any team. 3 TDs.
