| FHL Recap - Tues., Mar. 27th, 2007 Participants - James, Patrick, Peter, Neil and Tommy vs. Jordan, Taylor, Maciej and Matthew C. Played at - Gareena. Offensive Player of the Game - Tommy; mad forechecking. Defensive Player of the Game - Neil; long reach found the mark. Notable Absentees - Robbie, Josh, Ezra, Jacob. Best Shotblock/Save - Matthew C., stretching out the paddle to deny Tommy a rebound goal. Looked to be out of the play and then made an incredible paddle swipe to keep the score close. Best Goal - Jordan, getting sent in all alone on James and firing it topshelf with a backhander. After Maciej sent a rinkwide pass to the streakin' Italian, Jordan handled it past Peter and roofed it on James, who had no chance. Best Goalkeeper - Matthew C., edging out James. Made the clutch save when it had to be done, making up for any softies he may have let in. Best Deke - Maciej in and out on Patrick. Under the stick backhander that made the bushy haired Pop and Stop look stupid. Best Pass - Maciej, no look pass to a wide open Taylor, who fired it on net. Biggest 'Robbie' - Jordan, twice, after being set up at the point. Twice he fired a one-timer, twice he fired it way too high. Biggest 'Jacob' - Jordan, ending the game with a snap shot that went way over the top of James. Best Fashion Sense - Jordan; no doo-rag equals points galore. Worst Fashion Sense - Tommy; Western Tech tee-shirt equals ew points. The James Moment - 4 helmets, 3 nets, 3 too many sticks, 3 sets of pads. Convo of the Day - James - How about you shoot on net today Jordan? Matthew C. - He's missed the net like 40 times. Jordan - Eat my Italian loafers. Notable Watchers - Gangsters with radio and booze, basketball players, zamboni driver (bless you child), a few passersby. Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) - Peter - 7.5; Denies taking a dump in Maciej's toilet. Neil - 9; Uncle Neil brought presents in the form of a long stick. Patrick - 8.5; Great start, but faded down the stretch. Maciej - 7; Gave up a lot of space to the likes of Tommy. Tommy - 8.5; Stole the ball with sheer hustle.
