Teams: Jordan, Jordan T., Peter, Dylan, Neil and Tommy vs. Robbie, Maciej, David, Jacob, Matthew S., and Patrick. Score: a 15-13 victory for Jordan's sea blue squad. Game Rating (out of 10): 10 - one of the best FFL games ever played. Turnout - 12 people; highly skilled, zero troublemakers a la Ezra and Graham. Notable absentees: Alex, Ezra, Graham, James, Matthew C. Offensive Player of the Game: Jordan T. Just...wow! Defensive Player of the Game: Jacob. Stayed with his man. Special Teams Player of the Game: David. Cleared room with blocks. Pitch and Weather: Muddy middle, ice on the right, grass on the left. Such are the conditions the FFL faced (and defeated) on the way to an incredibly fast paced, competive game. Summary: The complete opposite of the March 18th debacle. This game had it all; high scoring (Jordan T leading all with 8 total touchdowns), tough defence (Jacob and Tommy shining), key plays (Neil's steamboats block of Robbie), trash talking (Maciej vs. Jordan D), disgusting spills (Peter) and tough tackling (David). The game went back and forth, with the Jordanian sea blue squad taking a 14-13 lead with time winding down. On 3rd down, Robbie set back in his pocket and looked to find a wide open Patrick. However, Neil, who had a tough go all game, used his massive Tommy like hands to pluck the tying point from the puke green team. On the following possession, Rob threw an interception to Tingle, who did not a thing but ran it back for a TD. Bogus Moment of the Day - Yay falling in the mud. Everyone got a taste of the wonders of wet ground, with Peter looking like a bigfoot clone by the end of the game. Honorable mentions go to David's intimidating yells and Patrick's ridiculous behind the leg catch. Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Robbie - 8.5; Eons better than in previous games. Fired them all over the place. Maciej - 7; Fought hard on special teams, but lost his man a few too many times. Patrick - 8.5; Scored his fair share as per usual. Is at his best when you don't notice him. Neil - 7; Made up for a terrible game with a key TD and subsequent steamboats block on Rob. Jacob - 8; Solid as always on all ends, but could stand to gain more endurance. David - 9.5; Used his height to his advantage on offence and defence. Best in losing cause. Tommy - 7; Could've scored a few times, but made up for it with a massive Hand of Tom showing. Peter - 8; Was in and out like a slippery slut. Sacrificed body and soul for a loose ball. Jordan D. - 7.5; Has had better games. When in doubt, threw it to his namesake. Matthew S. - 8.5; Defensive stalwart, with two interceptions. Fast as buffalo. Jordan T. - 10; How about this for a line; 7 TDs, 1 KTD, 3 INT, 4 Hands of Tom. Ridiculous. Dylan - 8; An offensive dynamo as per usual. He'll catch anything thrown his way. |
