Teams: Conal, Matthew Soegtrop, Robbie, Patrick, Danielle, Dylan and Alex J (later went to other team) vs. Alex D., Owen, Lenny, Maciej, Tommy and James.

Final Scor
e: 20-18 for Alex D. and his cronies.
Game Rating (out o
f 10): 7 - everyone seemed rusty and tired.
Offensive Player of the Game
: Alex D.  Much to the shagrin of his fellow teammate James, Alex broke the single game record for most receiving touchdowns with 11!  A monstrous offensive performance from Alex, absolutely incredible.
Defensive Player of the Game
: Alex D.  Subdued his namesake minus the D plus the J to zero touchdowns.  Was also able to cover the very elusive and speediful Conal for longer than Maciej could ever dream of.  3 interceptions helped his team immensely.
Special Teams Player of the Game
: Tommy.  Blocking that put the RoboBrick to shame.
Pitch and Weather
: The pitch looked deceptively calm and safe.  Blanketed by a fine layer of snow, the field looked almost inviting.  Come on, it said, come and play on me.  I won't destroy your knees or anything of that sort.  I beeseech you sah, play on my field by all means.  Alas, Tomward, Alex J., Patrick, Conal, Maciej, Robbie, and Lenny all hurt themselves due to the ice at some time during the game.  Some oldie guys were playing on the field.  They commented on Maciej's excellent throw of the orange ball.  Ah, some recognition at last.
Summary: A game that started off slowly never really picked up the pace, as was usually the case in FFL games.  A lot of players hadn't played for almost 2 weeks, and at times it showed it.  Robbie's throws weren't always pinpoint, and he wasn't helped by the fact that his receivers early on couldn't catch a cold.  Patrick had a few noticeable mahoney's, including one that hit him square in the noots.  Alex J. wasn't able to shake the coverage of Alex D., Maciej still couldn't throw a good spiral, and Matthew Soegtrop seemed out of touch.  A highlight was Lenny's first TD run, wherein Tommy literally blocked the crap out of the opposing team, allowing aforementioned Lenward to score giddily.  Conal's team eventually picked it up with the arrival of the offensively gifted Dylan, but Alex D's powerhouse offensive tactics deterred their comeback efforts till the very end.  Tommy slipped a hundred times, Owen became ninja man, James complained about bogus gameage, Danielle told Robbie not to throw at her, and Lenny kicked his own feet in disgust and resultingly met face with snow.  James was seen flipping off Maciej after Alex had broken James' record of most receiving TDs in one game.  Later, after flipping off had not worked, James joined Robbie for a game of Texas Holdem' in little Italy.  There they drank tea and talked of good times.
Bogus Moment of the Day - Fumble of the millenium.  Who's got it?  Conal, nope, Tommy, nope, James?!  Alex D., Alex J., Robb?  Someone get it already, come on, looks like Tom has it, yep, good times, NO it slipped out, Tommy get it, AH, Conal's got it.  Classic.
