Teams: David and Patrick vs. Maciej and Dylan.
Final Score: 12-8 for David and Patrick. Game Rating (out of 10): 3 - slow game, poor turnout, some highlights. Offensive Player of the Game: Patrick. Patrick wins the offensive player of the game award for the second consecutive time, with a 6 touchdown performance on Sunday. Honorable mention goes to Dylan. Defensive Player of the Game: David. David showed why he's a defensive force, with a solid overall showing on defence. Hits hard. Ouch. Special Teams Player of the Game: David. Had several kickoff touchdowns, combined with solid deke-age. Pitch and Weather: Covered in snow entirely, was Fern Ave. Public. Someone's black hat confused David, as he stopped running earlier than was indicated. Was able to pick the ball up after the ensusing confusion, and score another kickoff touchdown. Was warm, great packing snow. Summary: A very short game. Spent most of the day waiting for the no-shows of Tommy and James. James was seen by Maciej, who waved and had his wave returned. 5 minutes later no James came. James be disappeared. What the fuck, thinks Maciej. Turns out James went to a party: nice. Tommy was seen on two occasions, was beckoned, yet he turned around and went home anyway. What the hell went on? Where the hell were the people, all of whom wanted fooba so badly? FFL will launch an official investigation into this matter next week Tuesday the 80th. The game itself was slow and uneventful. Some good runs made by David and Patrick. Dylan made numerous mahoneys, and Maciej threw the ball very poorly. Tommy seen after the game standing on Wright and Roncesvalles, looking sadder than a nurfa pup that had lost its drivers license. Bogus Moment of the Day - Why the hell did James and Tommy show up on Wright Avenue at different times and not play? Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest): Patrick - 10; the most productive player on the field, and his team won. What else could you ask for from Patrick? A couple 100 dollars you say? Well, that'd be ideal. Seriously, solid all around game takes him into the receiving touchdown lead. Maciej - 7; not a bad outing, but not a good one either. Managed a couple of good plays, but hurt his back after getting a knee from David. Still couldn't throw a decent spiral. Dylan - 8; Not a bad game from Dylan, despite his numerous mahoneys. Managed several passing touchdowns, and was capable on defence (something that had been lacking in his previous 2 games). David - 9; a short appearance, but was incredibly effective. Despite admitting that he was rustier than a nailed rusty, he did manage good kickoff return touchdowns and played superb defence. First game of the 2005 season was a good one. |
