| FHL Recap - Tues., June 5th, 2007 Participants - Taylor, Tommy, Patrick, James, Maciej, Jordan, Ezra, Peter, and Neil. Offensive Player of the Game - Jordan; lots of room. Defensive Player of the Game - Neil; bestiality is illegal. Notable Absentees - Robbie, Alex, Matthew C., Josh, Ben, Dylan. Best Shotblock/Save - James, pwning the noobs like nobody's business it's what it is, you know he's got a wife, he's got to keey things tight, baby. Across the net a pass did fly, James did see it with one eye. And yonder quank and yonder froo, did he stick out a stretching too. Best Goal - Jordan, inside out on Neil and then shelfing it on a butterflyin' Mac. Best Goalkeeper - James, outdueling Maciej and later his replacement P'yeet. Best Deke - Jordan, putting a backhand sweave on a confused lookin' Peter and toppin' the cake with a shot that made James look billy-willy. Best Pass - Neil, firing a cross-creaser that found a streakin' Pat. Biggest 'Robbie' - Pat, who had a wide open net after a fantastic Ezra shoozer across crease. James was beat. Pat fired it over the crossie. Biggest 'Jacob' - Neil. The only knock-out, and it was his. Congrat-u-way! Best Fashion Sense - Patrick; ol' brownie out despite his frownie. Worst Fashion Sense - Taylor; besides the shoes, he threw it loose. The James Moment - James playing out. Looks a bit nailed rusty to be quite honest. Made a move sidewards without the ball on one play. To put it even more simply, James moved one way on a stickhandle, and the ball went to his far left. That was, as the French say, fucked. Convo of the Day - James - (deking past three guys) Who said I couldn't shoot? Taylor - You haven't shot yet. Notable Watchers - Kids, the FHL rivals (oh yes, there are people who play on this rink now -- hence, the rivals), 3 gangsters and weed, guy beside car, guy who smokes, janitor, another guy named Pat. Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) - Jordan - 9.5; Great game, but wasn't the man of the match. Patrick - 8; Effort there as usual, but tired like a boob. Maciej - 7; Awful start, but concentration returned later on. Tommy - 7; Ditto as Mac. Fought hard for circle positioning. Taylor - 6; No goals, despite better accuracy. Neil - 10; The long reach could have brought back Pluto on this day. Peter - 7.5; Didn't like his new stick -- at all. Played the body. James - 8.5; Cyclops looked rusty out, but owned the crease when 'keeped. Ezra - 8; Great start, but faded as time flew. |
