Game Recap - FHL - June 28, 2008
Participants -
Players - Jordan D., Jordan T., Neil, Maciej, Robbie, Alex J.
Goalies - Patrick, Matthew C.
Played at - Gareena, home of the ever exixting dirt pile.  Seriously, why is it still there?
Offensive Player of the Game - Jordan T. - shifty around the net.
Defensive Player of the Game - Neil - best of a bad bunch.
Best Shotblock/Save - Patrick, whipping out a glove hand to deny a screaming one-timer from the point.  Jordan D. was shocked after his shot was snared.  He said, and I quote: "Durp."
Best Goal - Jordan T., incredible finish after faking the hell out of Jordan D.  After picking up a lead pass from Maciej, Tingle wove his magic around Jordan D, who fell to the ground after being so badly faked out.  Tingle found himself all alone, faked to his forehand, went to his backhand and roofed a genuine effort past Matthew C.
Best Goalkeeper - Matthew C. over Pat.  His positioning was incredible, and he didn't let in many soft goals.
Best Deke - See best goal.
Best Pass - Jordan T., threading the needle to find Maciej in front of the net.  Unfortunately Maciej was doing his best "hands of stone" impression and fired it wide of the yawning cage.
Biggest 'Robbie' - Robbie firing a one timer into the mysterious beyond, or whatever the hell Ezra called the gardenish area surrounding Gareena.
Biggest 'Neil' - Jordan D., trying to score on Matthew C. and instead of succeeding in knocking a deflection out of the rink and into the grassed greens.
Best Fashion Sense - Patrick - Chicago Blackhawks jersey was a sign that things are coming around.
Worst Fashion Sense
- Robbie - wearing a Sorauren Park shirt; seriously, what are you, cool?
The James Moment
- Jordan D. shaking off the dirt on his clothes and pride after being absolutely destroyed by his namesake.  He claimed it to be a slip, others claimed it was the move.  In all likelihood, it was a combo of both, but the effect was one that made Tingle look good and the Italian look foolish.
Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) -
Jordan D. - 8.5; At times dominating.  A few incredible passes and runs up the middle.
Patrick - 8; As usual, he pulled out of some really highlight reel saves.
Maciej - 7; Nothing went for the Polish python on this day, especially offensively.
Jordan T. - 9.5; All but sowed up Rookie of the Year honors with this dominating performance.
Neil - 8; Broke the forehand virginity of his new stick, and was a safe pair of hands in his own zone.
Alex - 8; His first game in a while was pretty good.  Picked up some secondary scoring slack.
Matthew C. - 9; When his positioning is on, he gives you nothing to shoot at.  Came to play.
Robbie - 7.5; Off the pace early on, but got better as the game went on.
