FHL Recap - Wed., June 21st, 2006

Participants - Tommy, Jacob, Patrick, Maciej, Neil, Robbie, Matthew Couto, Jesse, and Peter.
Offensive Player of the Game - Tommy; took over the Corporals spot.
Defensive Player of the Game - Neil; Won the battles along the boards.
Played at: Fareena.
Best Shotblock/Save - Matthew Couto stoning a one timer in front of the net from Jesse.  Highway robbery, boys!
Best Goal - Tommy, a one timer from Corporal territory, that found the upper part of the net.  The shot itself was impressive, but he also managed to do the deed whilst fighing off a pokecheck from Maciej.
Best Goalkeeper - Jacob outdueled Matthew Couto in the end.
Best Deke - Maciej, pulling a Kovalchuk on Neil.  That's a feat and three quarters of a pie.
Best Pass
- Peter, firing it from behind his net, past two attackers onto the stick of a rushing Maciej.
Biggest 'Robbie' - Maciej, all alone in front of the net, fired it wide.  This is becoming a worrying trend for the bodacious Polak.
Best Fashion Sense
- Patrick.  Good color combo of red and blue.
Worst Fashion Sense
- Neil.  That hat was beyond slimey.
Bogus Moment
- Jacob running out of his net, with one pad flapping behind him like a limp third leg.  Stay in net, you crazy sprocker.
Notable Watchers - Some woman, a guy on a bike, a few passersby.
Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) -
Jesse - 7; Positioning wasn't up to par, especially in offensive zone.
Maciej - 7; Burned way too much energy early on.
Patrick - 9.5; One part of the defensive wall called, "Peil"
Jacob - 9; Looked assured in net.
Robbie - 6.5; Limited time.
Matt C. - 8; Flashes of sheer class.
Neil - 9.5; The second part of "Peil".  Held off forecheckers.
Tommy - 9.5; Superlative performance.
Peter - 6.5; Did his job well enough.
