Best Goalkeeper - Ezra over James. Although James picked it up near the end, Ezra was unbelievable. Covered the bottom of the net better than three goalies could, and had at least 6 world class glove saves. Magnificent!
Notable Absentees - Neil, Dylan, Jacob.
Best Shotblock/Save - Ezra, double stack pad save on Matthew. After being set up beautifully by the ever elusive Josh, Matthew fired a quick snap shot from point blank range. Ezra, in a position no goalie wants to be, whipped out two pads to his left and made an incredible save. Matthew was crushed.
Best Goal - Maciej, fighting through vicious checking, stickhandling around the flopping James and tapping a disgusting backhander in. One of many on the day for the commish.
Best Deke - Matthew C., fighting around a pinching Maciej, going wide and then completely inside. Mac was confused to say the least.
Best Pass - Josh, a teasing pass between three sticks onto the tape of T-bone.
Biggest 'Robbie' - Maciej, after receiving the 'give' of a give-and-go pass from Jordan, took a shot that would've made Domi blush.
Biggest 'Jacob' - None. Neil was with Sierra.
Best Fashion Sense - Josh; a good white hat.
Worst Fashion Sense - Patrick; nothing special.
The James Moment - Ezra vs. the world. In what surpassed even his previously incredible performance, Ezra put on a show of shows. He made ever save; the routine, the impossible, the ridiculous, the knuckleball. At one point, Ezra stood on the ball, while it was on the goalline. He kicked it from foot to foot, away from sticks, the whole while, being off balance.
