Game Recap - FHL - July 10, 2008
Participants -
Players - Jordan T., Maciej, Taylor, Cole, Pumpkin Jones, Neil, Josh, James
Goalies - Patrick, Jordan D.
Played at - Gareena, home of the...wait a minute, it's gone!
Offensive Player of the Game - Jordan T. - another great offensive performance.
Defensive Player of the Game - Maciej - the only one who came back to help.
Best Shotblock/Save - Jordan D., in a position that the most flexible gymnast would envy, denying Josh in close with an extended right pad.  G'job.
Best Goal - Tingle and Josh playing a one-two game that had heads spinning.  Josh finished on a sweet deflection after Tingle set him up.
Best Goalkeeper - Patrick over Jordan D., although the Gurth from Sicily did have some decent moments.
Best Deke - Jordan T. around James.  I've got that one on tape.  It's defo legendary.
Best Pass - Maciej, a flip whipper to a streakin' James, who continued to disappoint with his finishing.
Biggest 'Robbie' - James.  Had about twenty of them, but the one where he fired wide of the post after deking out Pat was pretty homo-fag.
Biggest 'Neil' - Neil, firing it off of Pat's pad and out of the rink.  You know, that little spot under the fence that he likes so much .
Best Fashion Sense - Neil - didn't wear his legendary hat, and he looked pretty decent for an Irish pubber.
Worst Fashion Sense
- Pumpkin Jones, in his first game ever, looked a bit squash-like.
The James Moment
- The myriad of injuries, from Neil's shiner, Maciej's fall, Jordan getting an eyelash in his eye (despite claims otherwise), and Pumpkin Jones' getting a smack face from Pat's stick knob (that's what she said). Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) -
Jordan D. - 7; Not a bad performance, but faded down the stretch.
Patrick - 8; Excellent at times.  Solid pokecheck.  .
Maciej - 7; Kept on firing up the rink, and then right back down again.
Jordan T. - 8; Great offensive chemistry with Josh.
Neil - 6.5; Looked subpar on a few of the early goals scored.
Josh - 7.5; Good at the start, but faded as the areas got more crowded.
Taylor - 6; Not much of anything in limited time.
Cole - 6.5; Added much needed speed to his team.
James - 5; The legendary cyclops looked putrid in front of the net, nevermind his lack of defensive play.
Pumpkin Jones - 7; Solid debut from Dylan, who despite being relatively small and slow, did quite well.
