Teams: Robbie, Maciej, Alex, Patrick, Neil and James vs. Jordan, Ezra, Moyra, Jacob, Dylan, Tommy and Peter.
Score: a 12-10 win for Rob's perpish purps.
Game Rating (out of 10): 9 - Great start, better finish, good effort all around.
Notable absentees:  Matthew C., Graham, Josh, Matthew S., Jordan T.
Offensive Player of the Game: Jordan.  Did it in the air and on the ground.
Defensive Player of the Game
: Jacob.  Limited the dangerous James.
Special Teams Player of the Game
: Alex.  Juked his way past defences.
Pitch and Weather
: Colder than the day before, but with a playing time of nearly 2 hours.  Not particularly slippery, although slips did occur quite regularly.  Might've been the shoes.
Summary
: One of the best FFL games of the season was marred only by a relatively slack middle venture.  The great start was heavily attributed to Robbie and his receiving corps, both groups contributing with timely plays.  The losing grass green squad was led by captain Jordan and receiver Jacob, both of whom worked well in various positions on the field.  The game was ended when Robbie tossed a beautifully spiraled long ball to a diving Maciej, who rumbled in for an uncontested TD.
Bogus Moment of the Day
- James and Jordan's melee.  Neither 'J' man wanted to give up the ball, after Jordan's fumble on a kickoff.  James, playing with a fire initiated by an earlier hit by Jacob, grabbed the loose ball and held it like he would his lover; firmly and without room to breathe.  Apparently, someone stepped on his balls at the time.  The culprit; still out there!...?
Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest
):
Robbie
- 8; Blew hot and cold, but what else is new.  Doesn't play favourites anymore.
Maciej
- 7.5; Was left open a bit too often, and could have capitalized on more.
Patrick - 7; Got an early score, but faded down the stretch.  Good on defence.
James
- 9; Was arguably the most consistent receiver on the day, making catches left and right.
Jordan -
9.5; Heart and soul of the losing squad once again.  Showed good hands at receiver.
Neil - 9; That's more like it!  After an atrocious day on offence, Neil shook the FFL with 4 TDs.
Jacob - 10; Elusive, fast-paced, tough on defence, with the penchant for the spectacular.  Inspiring.
Dylan
- 7; Pound for pound one of the best catchers in the FFL, but got little service.
Ezra - 4.5; Somewhere beyond the sea on his birthday.
Tommy - 7; Once again shut down his man on defence, but did little offensively.
Peter - 6; Effort just doesn't seem to be there anymore, despite his ability to absolutely dominate.
Moyra - 6.5; Stripped the ball from Maciej's hands nicely.  Getting better.
Alex - 8; Despite floating for stretches, he did what had to be done on all ends.
