Awards (Continued)
Hardest Shot - Winner - Matthew Couto; Runners up - The guy Maciej didn't like, Maciej

With a willingness to wire a slapshot from about anywhere, Matthew Couto takes this award with ease.  As many in the FHL will attest, his shot is painful upon its striking of human skin.
Most Accurate Shot - Winner - Danielle; Runners up - Matthew Couto, Matthew Soegtrop

Danielle never missed the opportunity to fire a ball into an empty net.  Unlike other FHLers, the easy shot was not a problem for her, as neither was the one through a maze of players.  Again, the CN tower replica of a stick helped her win this award.
Most Penalized Player - Winner - Robbie Soegtrop; Runners up - Robbie, Robbie

As there was only one official penalty in the FHL this past season, Robbie takes the cake.  He hacked little Matthew, and they both went down hard, the latter the worse off after the encounter.  Robbie grudgingly accepted his fate, but not after flipping off half the FHL.
Rookie of the Year - Winner - Tommy; Runners up - Nathaniel, Mike

This award goes to the player who showed up for only one FHL game.  Tommy, because of his determination and 2 goal, 5 assist rally late in the game, takes the award.
Most Assists - Winner - Maciej; Runners up - Patrick, Robbie

Thanks to a deadly combination of incredible schoolies and a timely pass, Maciej found Matthew Soegtrop in front of the net on numerous occasions in the 2004 FHL season.  It became a regularity for Maciej to rush up the right or left wing of the one and only FHL rink and pass it to Matt Soegtrop who'd classily finish past the bumbling duo of Pat and Rob.
The Jim Carrey Trophy - Winner - Robbie; Runners up - Patrick, Tommy

This award is presented to the player who makes the most blunders in the course of a game, either non-intentionally or intentionally (playing for a laugh).  Robbie's constant giggling, missing of wide open nets, losing his stick, hacking of shins, and general giddiness made him a lock for the Jim Carrey Trophy.  Honorable mention goes to Patrick for his numerous falls and Tommy for playing with the wrong stick.
Most Dexterous Player - Winner - Matthew Soegtrop; Runners Up - Maciej, Couto

This award is given to the player with the ultimate combo of speed and agility.  With lightning flash shot releases and a tendency to worm his way in and out of traffic, little Matt takes this award.
The Dylan Leetch Award - Winner - Dylan; Runners up - Guy who looks like Rob, Cody

Dylan takes the Dylan Leetch Award, awarded to the player who exemplifies a knack for pissing people off.  Dylan's constant screetching of "I'm lying boy, I'm lying boy," drove the entire FHL insane.  Despite being blessed with talent, Dylan enjoys playing on the edge, as he did playing barefoot one FHL game.
Most Ridiculous Hockey Stick Award - Winners - Robbie Soegtrop, Patrick, Tommy

A three way tie for this award came as no surprise for the patrons of the FHL.  Robbie played the entire season with a blade as thick as a Q-tip, Patrick played with a stick so small he had to hunch like a granny, and Tommy played with a stick that had the wrong sided blade.
Clutch Player Award - Winner - Patrick; Runners up - Robbie, Danielle

This award, given to the player who steps up to the plate when the game is on the line, goes to Patrick.  Not only did he score timely goals, but he also raised the play of his teammates and made the right decisions with the ball.  Honorable mention go to Rob and Danielle.  Rob blocked numerous dangerous cross crease passes and made a few key passes, while Danielle was instrumental in stopping about a zillion plays.
