Maciej, Jordan D., Jordan T., Neil and Jarzy vs. Robbie, Peter, Patrick, James, and Thomas.
Final Score 10-4
Summary:
The reds destroyed the mustard yellows on a freezing afternoon, by a score of 10 to 4. "Oh mang, did you see the plays we pulled off today," QB and hat-wearing guru Maciej said after the game. "Our receivers played with a lot of passion and our defense was incredible." The reds started the game off brightly, firing out to a 4-1 to lead. They were helped in part by a devastating injury to Peter, who smashed his face into Jarzy's knee. "I'm okay," Peter said, while dripping blood all over the field. The mustard yellows attempted a half-hearted comeback, but the team's only real bright spot was Patrick's 90 yard TD run. "Who cares, we lost," he said. The game was highlighted by one of the most cracking hits ever seen in the FFL. Jarzy, playing arguably his best game of the season, fired a block into a rushing Thomas that crunched the Wright avenue wrangler onto the ice in a massive heap. "Urgle," the demolished Thomas said after the play.
Bogus moment of the game James handing the ball off to Jordan D. Note, they aren't on the same team. "I nominate that for play of the game," James said.
Offensive Player of the Game - Jordan T. - shifty and a scorer. Defensive Player of the Game - Alex Jarzy - 7 sacks, and countless tops. Special Teams Player of the Game - Jordan D. - good blocks, and ran well down the line.
Player Ratings:
Patrick 7; Probably the best of a sad bunch. Nice TD run marred by lopsided scoreline. Maciej - 7.5; Spread the offence well, but was lucky not to be picked off. Jordan D. - 9; Did well on the line. Flea-flickers were more hit than miss. Neil - 7.5; Struggled to catch anything on offence, but great on special teams and defence. Peter - 7.5; Stayed in the game despite disgusting injury. May be out for a while. Thomas - 7; Took more blocks than he gave, but racked up some QB sacks. Robbie - 4.5; Nothing going right on this day. Didn't run once, and throws were wayward. Jordan T. - 9.5; Racked up the scores, with seven total. Great running patterns. James - 7; Dropped more than he caught, but still ran the gauntlet when needed. Jarzy - 9; Probably the fastest player in the league on his day. And he was on today. |
