Teams: Robbie, Taylor, Matthew S., Jacob and Maciej vs. Patrick, Jordan D., Sierra, Matt P., and Peter. Score: a 14-12 win for Pat's purps. Game Rating (out of 10): 7 - Slow moving, but some memorable moments. Notable absentees: Tommy, Neil, James - forever my BFF. Offensive Player of the Game: Jordan D. - When he wants to, he will. Defensive Player of the Game: Matt P. - Threw his body in front of the player. Special Teams Player of the Game: Matthew S. - Looked good running down the flanks. Summary: Heavy snow the night before led to a tackle induced fest last Saturday night. The victorious purps were led by Jordan D., who looked confident in the pocket and on the rush. "Oh man, I'm so fucking awesome," the game MVP said. "I also wear nice pants." The game started off well for the purps, with Jordan running past a frail looking defence for a kickoff touchdown. The blues closed the gap to one on three separate occasions, but it was not to be. "I just tried so hard, but it's gay that we lost," first round pick and stupid Polak Jacob said after the game. "Plus, on top of it all, Maciej didn't bring Betrayal." The game ended on a Matt P. catch. Pitch and Weather: Snowy days, hey they'll pass you by, snowy days. In the wink of a young girls eye, snowy days, snowy days. -- Bruce Springstein -- not quite, but close enough Bogus Moment of the Day - The four fumble fest that led to a ball recovery by Jacob. Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Maciej - 7; Busted a gut trying to get his team back in it. Patrick - 9; Not a thing wrong, and a lot of things right. Matthew S - 8; Very good on special teams. Got his elusiveness back. Taylor - 6; Struggled mightily all day long. Sierra - 7; Fired her way down field for 2 touchdowns. Jacob - 8; Good on offense, but chirps more than a caged bird in a mall pet shop. Jordan D. - 10; Despite fewer games played this season, he's a legitimate MVP candidate. Peter - 8; Does all the little things that don't show up on the scoresheet. Great team player. Robbie - 8.5; Very good game. Showed promise at receiver. Matt P. - 7.5; Dropped the ball a few times, but was good in general. |
