Teams: Maciej, Jordan T., Peter, Jacob, Taylor, Matthew S. and Neil vs. Robbie, Jordan D., Patrick, Ezra, Luke, Dylan and Rigdor. Score - 15-12 in favor of Mac's purps.
Maciej's purps took and early lead and held it win rather comfortably Wednesday night. "Oh man, I think we played," 4th round pick Jacob Panek said after the game. "We controlled the ball, dominated possession and I smacked some fools around with my hands." The purps took an early lead thanks to some clutch catching from second round steal Jordan Tingle. His namesake plus the Delretti at the end, on the other hand, had a quiet game. "I'm trying to keep Peter out of it," the Italian said. "He gets a lot less work that way and we get more room." The initiative backfried for Rob's greens, as Peter Bugden still managed to kill them offensively. "They're wasting their time with that crap," Peter said. The game was never really in doubt, and a late Peter touchdown over a scrambling Luke the Uke sealed the deal.
Bogus moment - Peter shaking off (literally) tackles from Tingle and Robbie. Like a bantha.
Offensive P.O.G - Jacob - Got the ball early and did lots with it. Defensive P.O.G - Neil - stood his ground on Rigdor and co. Spec Teams P.O.G - Ezra - Fought his way downfield.
Ratings Robbie - 7.5; Had his moments, but early miscommunications cost his team dearly. Jordan D. - 6.5; Way off the pace for the most part. Jordan T. - 8; Good plays on the offensive end. Matthew S. - 8; Much better showing, including some defensive stops. Maciej - 7.5; Spread the offence around with breezing efficiency. Peter - 8.5; Very good. The added rests boosted his stats. Patrick - 7; Worked hard, but wasn't rewared on the stat sheet. Neil - 9; Powerful runs down the side. Displays confidence on the defensive side. Rigdor - 7; Decent enough debut from Trogdor's brother. Luke - 6; "I'm half Ukranian, wanna fight about it?" Ezra - 9; The best in a losing cause. Legendary runs through tackles. Dylan - 8; His low centre of gravity is suited for the game of tackle. Taylor - 6; Struggling, but not for a lack of effort. Jacob - 8; His temper marred a wonderful performance. |
