FHL Recap - Sun., February 12, '06

Participants - Patrick, Robbie, Maciej, Tommy, James and Graham.
Offensive Player of the Game - Robbie; Stands in the corner and shoots.  But does it effectively, so you can't really knock the sweat off his sack for it.
Defensive Player of the Game - James; Ridiculous blocking today.
Best Shotblock - James, with a "how did he do that?" block with his right foot on Graham.  Wow!!
Best Goal - Graham, after Maciej played the defender (Patrick) perfectly.  Graham finished clinically, with a top shelf strike that seemed to say, "Bitch, you my house now."  Or something like that.
Biggest Whiff - Patrick missing a "sitter" that made many shake their heads.
Best Deke - James managing to get past two on the side of the rink, and holding it for a while under serious pressure.  Showing promise.
Best Pass - Maciej's pass to Robbie.  The pass went under two sticks so slowly that Robbie could've written 30 tax returns and still had enough time to sign a new constitution before firing it in.  James - "How in the hell did that get through?"
Best Fashion Sense - Tommy, with his orange jacket unzipped.
Worst Fashion Sense - Graham, who didn't even wear a jacket.
Bogus Moment - James' goalmouth dancing/flapping that kept the ball out of the net for a good 10 seconds.  Without sufficient help however, his efforts were in vain as G-ram finally did score.
Ratings -
Tommy - 8; Not as great as before, but you can't complain with his performance.  Shows superb defensive awareness; stoned Patrick cold when he attempted a deke.  Bro Dav Leevo showed up for a tant.
Robbie - 8; The definition of a one-trick pony.  However, he is starting to round out his game; came back to help a few times.  Provided both Chubba bros with sticks for the price of two canned apples.
Graham - 7.5; Has some skill to his game.  Took his IPOD out after a few seconds, citing a lack of concentration.  Fired the ball off the crossbar once, which scared many a few.
Maciej - 5; Had Johnny like grip on the ice.  Which was bad.
Patrick - 8; Bemoaned the loss of his beloved stick, but played well.  As expected, provided solid defense from the back but scored more than usual today.
James - 9; James' played some great defense today, and is showing some serious stickhandling skills.  No real faults today; awesome performance.
