| Game Recap - Mon., Dec. 31, 2007 Llama Glama (4-4-1) 9 - Jordan (5), Neil (3), Taylor (1), Peter (0); Goalie - Ezra Han Solo Experience (4-4-1) 16 - Patrick (5), Robbie (4), James (4), Maciej (3); Goalie - Matt C. Played at - Gareena, home of the leafy (and now slushy) corners. Offensive Player of the Game - Maciej - made things happen. Defensive Player of the Game - Maciej - shutdown in full effect. Best Shotblock/Save - Ezra, robbing Maciej with a wicked glove hand. Wowness off the scale. Best Goal - Maciej, going around Ezra, getting tripped but still managing to slop a backhand along the ground into the net. Best Goalkeeper - Ezra. Some of his saves were just plain ridiculous. Had a few Raycroft moments, but nothing too bad. Definitely kept his team in it. Best Deke - Jordan, around James and Patrick, both of whom hitting ice patches along the way and falling to the ground hard. The guy can stickhandle, that's for sure. Best Pass - Patrick to Maciej. An outlet pass that turned into a breakaway for the Humber-ite. Biggest 'Robbie' - James, his first shot. A backhand about 30 feet into the sky. Biggest 'Neil' - James again, this time he knocked into the neighboring yard. He found it later, to his credit. Best Fashion Sense - Taylor - wasn't afraid to go bold today. Worst Fashion Sense - Patrick - wear a hat for prong's sakes. James' 'Bogus' Moment - Robbie getting covered by Peter. Why didn't he just call interference? Ratings (4 lowest, 10 highest) - Jordan - 5.5; Fired successfully only when Maciej wasn't playing. Neil - 9; Never gave up, unlike the majority of his teammates. Scored a hat-trick. Taylor - 5; Regressed massively in this game. Almost invisible. Peter - 5; Resorted to fouling to slow down the dangerous Rob. Ezra - 7; The better of the two keepers was impressive with more work. Patrick - 5.5; Was undressed by Jordan on 3 consecutive occasions, and was benched. Robbie - 5.5; The work in the corners was all but gone today. Maciej - 9; Pretty much the only one with any type of 'wow' game today. James - 5.5; His soft hands were a thing of the past. Matthew C. - 4; No one questions the guys talent. His commitment on the other hand... |
