Tagline - "TNJ - Taylor Neil Jacob" Teams: Maciej, Jacob, Patrick, Taylor, Neil and Jordan T. vs. Robbie, Peter, Jordan D., Matthew S., Ezra and Luke. Score: a 8-3 embarassment in favor of Mac's reds. It wasn't even that close to be honest. Game Rating (out of 10): 9 - Good plays, but a few too many drops. And sacks. Notable absentees: Tommy, Matthew C., Dylan, Josh, James. Offensive Player of the Game: Maciej - Wasn't sacked once and found his receivers. Defensive Player of the Game: Jacob - Put Robbie under pressure all game long. 5 sacks. Special Teams Player of the Game: Neil - Threw key blocks. Summary: Seriously, this one wasn't even close. In what will go down as one of the biggest one sided games of all time, Mac's reds destroyed Rob's greens 8-3 on Thursday night. With TNJ going off for 14 sacks on the green QB's, and Maciej finding more than enough time in the pocket, this game was over rather early. In fact, the reds had a 7-1 lead before the greens showed signs of life. The game ended on a powerful QB sneak by Jordan D., who had been frustrated on offence up to that point. Pitch and Weather: Snow, but icey. Trying to catch friction on the snow was ridiculously hard, and receivers had one hell of a time turning on a dime. Bogus Moment of the Day - The sacks. It ended 16-0 in favor of Mac's reds. That's just ugly. Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Robbie - 6; His scrambling wasn't effective at all in this game. He had a lot less ground to open to him, and the snow was a lot more icey. However, he threw off his back foot and he threw 1 passing TD. Maciej - 9; Looked real comfortable in and out of the pocket. Ran in two touchdowns, and found his receivers with regularity. Defensively, got one sack on the Robster. Patrick - 8.5; Became a viable option, as he started to run shorter routes. Scored a nice touchdown on a very long run. Limited Matt S. to zero scores. Neil - 10; The white filling in the TNJ sandwich, Neil was a beast on the defensive line. Piled up 4 sacks, and made Robbie move out of his comfort zone. Matthew S - 6; Looked disinterested for most of the game. Yet again, he got very little service from his QB. He caught what was thrown at him, which wasn't a lot. Struggling to find his niche in flag football game. Jordan T. - 8; Great start for Tingle. Picked off 2 passes, including one over the shoulder. Ran good deep patterns, but dropped two surefire touchdowns. Still scored twice. Taylor - 10; Who would've guessed T would be such a good QB rusher. Small, elusive and surprisingly agile, T proved to be a handful for both Robbie and Jordan D. Good on offence too. Peter - 8; Struggled to keep TNJ out of the QB pocket. Looked surefire on offence, although his cries of "Not to Peter!" were heard wide and far. Ezra - 6.5; Looked out of sync, after a few great games. Still ran the same patterns, but his blocking was sub par and he couldn't get in front of his defender when the ball was thrown to him. Jordan D. - 7; Came a bit later than usual, and his contributions were not as huge as in prior games. Commanded the ball at all times, but his actual scores were limited to two. Jacob - 10; The J in TNJ, Jacob did what was expected of a first rounder and more. Coming off his second straight suspension, Jacob showed that he still had the heart and skill to succeed in the FFL. Luke - 6; Worked hard on the defensive line, but he was limited to zero sacks. Isn't very agile, so his game will depend upon catching the QB surprised and unaware. |
