Tagline - "Robbie's like Michael Vick...minus the doghouse rules." Teams: Maciej, Jordan D., Taylor, Ezra and Luke vs. Robbie, Peter, Patrick, Neil and Sierra. Score: a 6-6 tie. Game Rating (out of 10): 8 - A little more offence in this blitz fest. Notable absentees: Tommy, Matthew S., Jordan T., James, Dylan. Offensive Player of the Game: Robbie - Kept his team in it with good footwork. Defensive Player of the Game: Peter - Gave Maciej absolutely no time. Special Teams Player of the Game: Ezra - Scored and got superb YAC. Summary: On a wetter snow day, the FFL convened and had another blitz fest. QB's became more used to the pressure and QB scrambles became a regularity. The game was back and forth, until Patrick made a catch to tie the game and subsequently end it. Pitch and Weather: Snow on the ground, but not as deep as in previous games. Running was much easier, and slips were all but a thing of the past. Bogus Moment of the Day - Jordan D. After wrestling Robbie to the ground, the Italian stallion looked at the commish and said, "What'd I do?" Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Robbie - 9; His scrambles tired out the rushers. If his throws were more consistent, his team would have won. Instead, he still put up very decent numbers in a tie game. Maciej - 7; Dealt with the rush a little bit better and scrambled twice for very good YAC. Then again, his flag dropped out on at least 3 occasions. Defensively, was shred by Neil. Patrick - 8; Took a beating on one of his mahoneys, slamming his shoulder into a pole. Did a job on defence, and scored the game tier. Neil - 8.5; Good stuff from the lanky one. After getting a new flag, Neil looked to be more confident. Forgot about the stiff arm rule a couple of times. Good footwork on pattern runs. Jordan D. - 8.5; Excellent again. However, his penalties and play calls hurt his team once again. Last game, it didn't hurt. This game, it did, as Rob's puke yellows came back to tie it up. Taylor - 7.5; Put a lot of pressure on Robbie, and had a few very decent YAC runs on offence. Didn't do anything wrong, but didn't break the game open either. Peter - 9; Threw his body around, and kept the big Luke and Mac combo at bay. His TD numbers are suffering, but he's a consumate team player, so he doesn't seem to care. Ezra - 9.5; Granted, he mahoney'd 3 times, but his catches and runs were beyond spectacular. It's become a bit of cliche to say that snow is his domain, but it is. Man of the Match.. Sierra - 6.5; Caught one, dropped one, and kept T at bay when required to do so. Has shown enough dedication to the FFL to be considered a contributing member. Luke - 7; Threw himself at Peter, both offensively and defensively. Showed a lot of potential as an offensive or defensive lineman. Has the desire to do the grunt work. |
