2008-09
Maciej, Jacob, Dylan and Taylor versus Jordan D., Patrick, Luke and Cole.

Final Score 4-2 victory for the reds.

Summary:

In the first game the FFL has played in nearly a month, the reds took it to the blues by a score of 4-2.
"Oh, I'm so happy to play, I don't even care if we won or not," receiver Jacob P. told reporters after the game.  "It's been way too long, and today was a good day.  A good day."
The game started off rather slowly, with neither team breaking away from an early 1-1 tie.
But then lineman Luke C. broke through with an unexpected touchdown, and the game opened up offensively.
"I told everyone that I'd score," he said.  "So I did.  It's that simple."
The reds expanded on their lead on a nice touchdown by Dylan, who outran blue defenders after making a fantastic grab.
Note - halfway through the game, Robbie was seen crawling towards the field, in a health mask, attached to an IV machine, dressed in a hospital gown, murmuring, "Must come to football" over and over again.  He was reeled back in by his mom before he could make it to his destination.

Bogus moment of the game The amount of no-shows.  Normally, I'd say "fuck em" but today was a record number.  The game was good nonetheless, but could've been better.  So, again, fuck you for not showing up.

Offensive Player of the Game - Dylan - scored three times and was consistently dangerous.
Defensive Player of the Game - Luke - 6 total sacks, and numerous tackles.
Special Teams Player of the Game - Dylan - threw requisite blocks, and punted well.

Player Ratings:

Patrick 7.5; Struggled early, but got better as the game went on.
Jacob - 7; Was kept to the outside by Patrick, and had only limited opportunities.
Maciej - 8; Was under pressure all day long, but was sacked only thrice.
Jordan D. - 7; His arm has seen better days.  Did well in the open field.
Luke - 8.5; When he keeps the game simple, he's dynamite.  Case in point, today's game.
Taylor - 7; Continued to peel off the line, and pushed onrushing linemen to the sides.
Cole - 7; Not noticeable, and stuck to the line for the most part.  Made few mistakes.
Dylan - 9.5; He's always been an offensive talent, and today he truly broke out.
