Tagline - "It's official - flag football is here to stay" Teams: Robbie, Patrick and Meng vs. Maciej, Neil, Taylor, and Josh. Score: a 17-14 blaster for Mac's browny yellows. Game Rating (out of 10): 8 - Had its moments, that's for sure. Notable absentees: Jordan, Peter, Tommy, Ezra, Matthew S. Offensive Player of the Game: Josh - His was a great day. Defensive Player of the Game: Taylor - Key swipes of the flag. Special Teams Player of the Game: Josh - Guess who? 3 kickoff TDs. Pitch and Weather: Colder than a whales hoo-hoo. The ground was frozen solid; ask Josh, Meng and anyone else who taste frozen mud. Summary: With many regulars out with previous engagement syndrome, the FFL soldered in, with great contributions from relative noobs and part-timers. T-bone, Josh and Patrick all stood out on the day, with Josh making the plays that mattered down the stretch. It was also established after this game that flag football will forever be the standard. No more of this two hand touch crap. Bogus Moment of the Day - Robbie stiff arming the fuck out of Josh. Face full of mit, dot international. Player Ratings (out of 10, 4 being the lowest):
Robbie - 9; Spread the wealth well. Maciej - 9; Led his team to inevitable victory. Patrick - 9.5; Excellent all game long. Neil - 9; First round success only later on. Taylor - 9.5; Flag football looks to be his cup of tea. Josh - 10; Elusive. Spinned past tackles and tosses. Meng - 8; Very good debut. Finished with 5 scores. |
