Offensive Awards |
Top Quarterback - Winner - Jordan; Runners up - Robbie, Maciej
Jordan, despite being a FFL rookie, came in and made the FFL his own. In fewer games played than his quarterback counterparts, the Italian Stalion racked up 160 passing touchdowns, including a ridiculous 8 per game. |
Most Valuable Offensive Player - Winner - Jordan; Runners up - Maciej, Patrick
Jordan rounds out a ridiculous debut season by taking the offensive MVP award. The numbers speak for themselves, 160 passing touchdowns, 8 passing touchdowns per game, 35 receiving touchdowns, and an impressive 1.8 receiving touchdowns per game. Generated offense like the world was ending. Critical hit points delivered when it mattered most. |
Top Receiver - Winners - Patrick; Runner up - Jacob, Peter.
Another season at the top for the bushy haired Polish prince. Pat made the catches that mattered most to his team, and finished a ridiculous 21 touchdowns ahead of the next receiver. Not bad for a guy who played the first quarter of the season on a broken foot! |
Top Kickoff Returner - Winner - Peter; Runners up - Jacob, Neil.
As the players have gotten bigger and faster, the number of kickoff touchdowns has declined steadily over the years. Add the fact that Johnny, arguably the most talented special teams returner, played limited games this season and you've got tiny numbers. Nevertheless, Peter was by far the most potent threat on the kickoffs, collecting 5. Got yards even when the touchdown wasn't accrued on the play, and that made his contribution even more golden. |
Top Runningback - Winner - Jacob; Runners up - Peter, Neil.
Tough call on this one, with all 3 nominees having banner years on the quarterback handoff. However, Jacob pulled away from the pack with a few skill runs that he must have picked up playing varsity football over the year. Developed intricate speed and agility, and perfected the legal 'no touch' stiff arm that helped propel him to good yards. |
Most Receiving Touchdowns - Winner - Patrick; Runners up - Neil, Peter. Patrick tops with 62, followed by Neil with 41, and Peter a close third with 38. Most Receiving Touchdowns per game(minimum 5 games played) - Winner - Jordan T.; Runners up - Alex/David, Patrick. Jordan T. won with 4.8 per game, followed by Alex/Dave with 2.7, and Patrick with 2.5 |
Most Passing Touchdowns - Winner - Robbie; Runners up - Jordan, Maciej. Robbie wins again with 162, followed closely by Jordan with 160, and Maciej with 100. Most Passing Touchdowns per game (minimum 5 games played) - Winner - Jordan; Runners up - Robbie, Maciej. Jordan won easily with 8.0 per game, followed by Rob (6.2) and Maciej (3.8) |
Most Kickoff Return Touchdowns - Winner - Peter; Runners up - Jacob, 4 tied for 3rd. Peter took the sleaze with 5, followed by Jacob with 3 and a quartet with 2. Most Kickoff Return Touchdowns per game - Winner - Josh; Runners up - Jordan T., Peter. Josh takes the cake with 0.7, Jordan T. finishes 2nd with 0.4, with Peter in 3rd with 0.3 |
Best Jukes - Winner - Jordan T.; Runner up - Jordan, Jacob.
One needs only to review the promo video to see what Jordan T. is capable of. Managed to school more players in his 5 games than most could in 4 seasons. Honorable mentions go to Jordan and Jacob, both of whom showed the ability to dampen some defender spirits. |
Best Offensive Intangibles - Winner - Dylan; Runner up - Ezra, Jacob.
Dylan's positioning was excellent in limited gametime. Didn't need to outrun defenders, but rather placed himself in great passing lanes. When he made the catch, more often than not, made the right play, including a magnificent touchdown where he placed the ball between two defenders. |
Offensive Rookie of the Year- Winner - Jordan; Runners Up - Neil, Jordan T.
This award is given to the best 06-07 offensive player who had played 2 or less games in the prior season. Can there be any doubt to this one? Jordan, the High Park hero, managed to blow away the FFL vets with a variety of moves, putting up major stats on the way. Honorable mentions go to Neil, who proved to be a great scoring option when on his day, and Jordan T., who made some of the most unbelievable catches known to man. |
Most Improved Offensive Player - Winner - Peter; Runners up - Patrick, Jacob.
Wow, did he ever prove his critics wrong! Labeled by many as a defensive one-trick pony (yours truly included), Peter developed a reportoire as a clutch receiver with a penchant for the spectacular catch and or run. Was able to use his speed and diving ability to his advantage, on his way to a banner FFL 06-07 year. |
