In the game before the real season opener, the greens edged out the purps 10-9 in a two-game aggregate.
Some points:
- Jordan D. and Matthew C. had the chemistry going right from the start.
- Matthew C. made some incredible catches, including one that bounced off the hands of his opponent Maciej C. and into his waiting hands.
- Maciej C. threw the gauntlet down; he may just be the best receiver in the history of football.
- Then he woke up.
- Alex Johnson gave a big spark plug, with 2 sacks and an interceptions, in his first game in over 3 season. A good show from the bamboozling yak.
- Matthew S. should not wear sandals to a football game.
- Robbie really needs to get his accuracy back, and get rid of the ball quicker; he's getting sacked too many times. He also needs to find his eyebrows.
- Peter had a shitty first half, but an incredible second one; apparently he had a sugar rush during half-time.
- Matt P. is the best tackler in the league, bar none. I nearly swallowed my tongue after taking the full brunt of one of his tackles.
- Patrick looked sharp, but needs to stay healthy for an entire game, not just a half.
- Cole doesn't like to play Line; he made that obvious with a solid outburst.
- Taylor grew over the summer, and he looks human now, not just dwarfish. He's not getting pushed around as much anymore.
- No one should ever invite Matthew C. again; he's just too good.
- Where the fuck is Neil?
Bogus moment - Matthew Couto's catching. Some of the most ridiculous catches ever. They would make Jordan T. proud, and that's saying a mouthful right there.
