Teams: Robbie, Matthew C., Patrick and Matthew S. vs. Maciej, Thomas, Taylor and Neil. Score - a 9-7 victory for the reds.
The reds won a close game over the blues on a chilly Thursday night. "We played well, but they played really hard," Matthew C. said. "It was like playing a team of Peters." The hyperbole aside, the blues did put up a decent battle against the underachieving red side. The blues got a great effort from WR Neil H., who decided on making the game his own. "I almost rolled my ankles a few times, but it's all good," he said. Neil scored 5 touchdowns in total, a game high. His counterpart on the reds was Matthew S., who continues to rejuvenate his once flagging offensive career. "I'm back baby," he said. "It's like I was never really gone." On the other hand, there were way too many poor performances. "I played like crap, I get it already," Patrick said. Added Thomas of the blues, who had 7 mahoneys. "It was like fighting black bears on motorcyles," he said. "You're confused, you're laughing, but you know it's either you die or they do. There's no line in between."
Bogus moment - I don't care.
Offensive P.O.G - Neil - excellent in a losing cause. Defensive P.O.G - Maciej - 4 interceptions. Spec Teams P.O.G - Neil - kept getting the ball downfield.
Ratings Robbie - 5; Threw three interceptions on the day, and was generally mediocre. Maciej - 7; Spread the offence around at first, but then just threw to Neil. Patrick - 4.5; Awful. This guy claims to be an MVP candidate? Taylor - 5.5; A late surge salvaged what would have been an awful game. Thomas - 4; He's got a lot of work to do. Everywhere. Matthew C. - 6; Faded after a torrid start. Matthew S.- 8; Very good, but was covered rather laxly on at least three of his TDs. Neil - 8; Man of the match, without a doubt. Shines with added workload. |
