FHL Recap - Tues., April 10th, 2007

Participants - Maciej, Dylan, Tommy, Robbie and Neil vs. Jordan, Patrick, Ezra, Johnny, and Taylor.
Played at - Gareena.
Offensive Player of the Game - Jordan; did things that confused France.
Defensive Player of the Game - Ezra; on his game, times 10.
Notable Absentees - Alex, James, Matthew C., Peter, Josh, Ben.
Best Shotblock/Save - Ezra stopping a one timer from Robbie from the high slot.  Threw out a glove hand that stymied the Dash lookalike, and had Tommy wondering when the cows were going to come home.
Best Goal - Johnny, scoring one a rebound shot that was...actually pretty nice.  Some speed, some curve, good accuracy.  A goal of ages.
Best Goalkeeper - Ezra, hands down, outdueling the Maciej/Dylan combo.
Best Deke - Maciej, faking an inside out move on Patrick, then tucking it behind his leg and firing a pass over to a wide open Tommy.  Ouch, hear those fat lips deflate!
Best Pass
- Everyone but Jordan.  Seriously though, Robbie firing a rink wide pass from the left to right side, finding a pinching Maciej who had a gaping net to score on.
Biggest 'Robbie' - Johnny, after scoring his goal, fired a shot that hit the goalpost.  Oh, the highs and lows of hockey are delicious!
Biggest 'Jacob' - Neil, firing a shot off of Jordan's stick, out of the rink, over the fence, into the grass.
Best Fashion Sense - Dylan; had the whole 'white gansta' look going.
Worst Fashion Sense
- Neil; that hat has seen better days.
The James Moment
- Johnny.  The guy never played hockey before, and had one hell of an adventure in what may be his only appearance of the season.  He scored a beautiful goal, stickhandled past three players without really knowing what he was doing, cut the palm of his right hand, hacked Tommy's shin, and tied a bag around his hand.
Convo of the Day
-
Robbie - Tommy, finish a couple!
Tommy - 3 enough?
Robbie - Quank!
Notable Watchers - White dog and owner, some guy with cigarette, two kids standing by majestic Garden tree, some basketball players.
